  1. These are great from Dollar Tree. Make sure to get the large size. You can fit lots of plastics. In the bass boat I separate by type (craw, worms, swimbaits, etc). I will throw a bunch of assorted plastics in their original packaging in one of these bags when using the kayak or small boat too. Nice and thick and with a handle
  2. The bait will be flat on one side. In the case of Mayo’s Hand Poured Baits, I looked into the company and he started out with only hand pours then got into injections
  3. I use this website to show what lakes are still frozen over by me. I noticed today that it hasn’t updated in a year. Does anyone know of a resource like this? Thanks
  4. You’ll be fine as long as you stick to main brands that you recognize. Make sure it’s tcw-3 and you’re good to go. I’ve been running Walmarts Supertech and Pennzoil no problem. Box stores have an oil company package and make their oil. Warren distributors is one. They make the Mag1 line of oils and is considered good quality. Stay away from dollar store brands, in general.
  5. Free shipping all orders at bigbitebaits.com 10% off coupon code: bbb10 Some good deals are: $.75 3” grubs $6.49 5” Cane Thumper in ss Shad 25-pack $1.50 baby b2 worm (7” ribbon tail worm) 20-pack $1.65 swimming mama $1.50 disc worm $1.50 Smallie smasher ..and lots more
  6. Nothing around here?
  7. I posted in a fb group asking for color ideas. One guy said pb jelly and green pumpkin/pink. I got the idea to swirl gp/pink in this speed worm mold. Kinda looks like a rainbow trout to me One of my favs I did a while ago
  8. A thousand or more
  9. Watermelon red Christie craws yeah, def just search Yum christie craw on Amazon lol. They are individualized by color and most of them on sale

  11. I’d get size 1 or 2 personally. It seems like most companies use thicker wire once in the ought sizes.
  12. Yes 2.5” tubes are finesse.
  13. Zoom worms are confusing as to which float and sink. Luckily it doesn’t really matter. They both catch fish.
  14. Looking forward to finesse Fishing the 13 Fishing Ultra Thin Joy Stick worm. $1 at the discount store and I bought lots of them. Also gonna fish the Craw Worm (more of a craw but has the name worm) from Big Bite Baits more…caught one of my biggest largies to date on one and got away from them. Bought some Berkley Powerbait Fatty Bottom Hoppers on sale…cut them down for neds or Texas rig ‘em should work Gonna try a chartreuse disk worm in the spring Never used the floating worm technique much…will try that in the spring
  15. I too got sick of paying to wrap the boat every year. I decided to buy an expensive $500 (on sale) “marine grade acrylic” boat cover from Cover Craft. It seems thick and well made. I also wasn’t sure if I wanted polyester or acrylic. I saw somewhere polyester is stronger but won’t last as long as the acrylic. I highly recommend this boat support pole system to go with the cover. First year using the cover and support, all seems fine.
  16. Anyone know if this bait is like the Berkley Gilly?
  17. Walmart: $1 Rattlin’ Rage Craws in green pumpkin and summer craw in my local Walmart. Wasn’t marked on end cap display but scanned in app and jackpot! Weird black/blue and junebug were not on clearance. I guess if you know your local Walmart and something seems to not supposed to be on shelf, scan it! Also had $2.50 black/blue 5” senkos marked on shelf
  18. You’re absolutely right. Just to throw something random at them prespawn-fall. I feel like a lot of techniques would catch the same fish at certain times. Like a split shot rig may catch the same drop shot or neko fish. Jika, Tokyo, free rig may catch the same fish as Texas rigged plastics. Power fishing in the mornings and evenings is what I usually do and stick to finesse during the day mostly. Problem is I like my sleep and never get out early! 😂
  19. Which are awesome! I’ve caught fish on the Sinker Stick and Kicker tail worm. The stick bait sinks fast and is heavy with good waggle. I’ve heard somewhere Netbait made the plastics. JT Kenny was pushing them at one point.
  20. In order for me to try new baits, techniques, and just have fun messing around, I made a roulette wheel of decisions. I’m the type of guy that has a few baits tied on and barely ever change lures on the water. My plan this year is to force myself to fish a particular bait for a set amount of time and spin the wheel to try something different or new. Am I missing anything? I know some people say to just rig up one rod and have one bait and master that for the day, but I like to be more of jack of all trades and master of none I suppose.
  21. Could you recommend wire size? Thanks!
  22. Check out 13 Fishing Ultra Thin Joystick worm at discount tackle. They’re on sale $5 for 6 packs or $1 a pack. The 4.5” are ultra thin and if you wanted a straight worm I would just pinch off the kicker legs. 5.5” ones are thickness of say a finesse worm. The 4.5” is like the thickness of 4” Berkley Power Worm.
  23. Anyone receive the $20 credit yet? I sent an email Friday but I’m assuming a real life representative has to approve the credit. Weird how they make it work.
  24. Scoundrels if I am not mistaken are round body. Trick worms have a flat bottom. With the flat bottom I’ve heard you get more of a gliding motion. Does it make a difference? Who knows
