  1. I went through the same thing at South. The thing to do is to get a mass email sent out. You'll get a ton of replies, and a mess of people will show up for the first meeting, then after a month you'll be left with the really dedicated folks. You'll get there and if you have any questions pm me. Peter
  2. I know how you feel there Dale, We have two good teams and perhaps three even, but to be honest their all untested. The biggest thing would be for me to have a boat.
  3. Well Kyle, Dale (Justin) knows me and he knows that I love tough conditions. Either way I hate that I missed the tournament. I am having trouble getting help from club members in getting things done with me. It is still a one man show running things down here. Hopefully that will change soon enough. We'll be up at the next one though. I know that for sure. And as for your invitational, looking forward to it. Looking forward to fishing with ya'll soon enough.
  4. South has had to bow out. Ya'll get em!
  5. I am glad to see that everything is going well for ya'll South is having a hell of a time, We will have trouble sending two boats. Our members have all manner of obligations with work and school. Hopefully we can get some boys on the water. Wish us luck.
  6. Really I didn't know I had done anything good to talk about. Well I appreciate it. You ready to paddle the cahaba with me and Josh yet?
  7. TGhanks for all the replies fellas but one more question though do they penetrate cover better?
  8. So are they worth the money and do they make that much of a difference?
  9. Dale you know as well as I do that those things are deadly. How are you liking the forum?
  10. How many of ya'll that are intercollegiate anglers will be fishing the Auburn tournament on Weiss on the 19th?
  11. Thanks, thats the kind of stuff I'm looking for. How did you do in the Tournament?
  12. Have any of ya'll fished Weiss lake lately? Whats the water like? How are the bass doing? Are they bedding? Where are they stageing? What is the weed cover like? What is the Forage? Anybody? Anything? Thanks Fellows, Peter
  13. But here is the problem, what do other university clubs have for dues, and how do you set up tournaments? How did ya'll set up sponsorships? Also how do you run your points system? Thanks, Peter

  15. i don know i enjoy waking up beside my beautiful girl friend before sneaking off to go fishing, so i suppose ya'll are just going through the next step.

  18. That is great to hear for the Hokies! I hope that within a year USA will be competing in the forementioned tournament trail. I am trying to get some buddies up to help me get some stuff done to get the ball rolling. To be honest I would like to see it get going this next week. Like always you guys are great and I really can't say how much ya'll have helped. I was just basically shuffling in the dark with all of this stuff. I can't wait to be a part of the collegiate bass group! Thanks again ya'll are awsome! Peter
  19. Really I have been pondering buying a president, what would you say the difference is?
  20. Really great info I will have to tell my friends at troy that are trying to do the same thing that I am. To be honest I can see that this is going to a bit of work. I am glad to get the heads up on the cbaa and the other links will ocme in handy. I appreciate it ya'll keep it coming. Peter
  21. I have been known to. I like jacks juice in the garlic or crawfish for my jigs and soft plastics. I will also use the shad for my hair jigs and spinner baits. My thought on it is like this: If you give a dog a sponge he'll pick it up and drop it. If you soak that sponge in gravy, well you'll have to get another sponge. Peter
  22. I really appreciate this inf fellas. I have looked into the links in depth and will go into contacting the cbaa. Thanks again. Peter
  23. They are right on the money, look for new run off thats flowing into the lake and also fish any recently flooded areas. Big spinners with colorado blades are great so are black, june bug, or pumkin seed chartruse jigs and make sure your trailer has plenty of vibration. You should also look into adding some rattles to them. Chartrues is a big winner right now and beleive it or not the fish will suck up into the shallow cover to hunt even though it may be cold. Look for areas without current if that is a problem. If you normally use smaller baits go big because often all these fish will see will be the silloette. Keep in mind that even though the fish are shallow their strike zones are still small. So don't be afraid to hit them on the head with that bait. Wide wobbles on those crank baits is a plus right now. The key is that the fishhave to see it or hear it to eat it. Good luck, Peter
  24. Burley, I have owned and used my pfluger trion now for 3 years and even though i own mostly ambassaduer I will say that after putting it through complete H***. I have not once had to take it down for repairs and it casts like the day I bought it. The one thing I will say is that the centrifugal drags should be kept lightly oiled from time to time, i imagine you know when to do so. My reel always told me when. My only regret with this reel is that i didn't buy two. I feel like you'll enjoy your trion as much as I have enjoyed mine. Peter oh by the way, the powder is great on eggs.
  25. What tactics do you use?
