  1. try a stick bait switch up the retrieve.fast,slow,steady.
  2. larry! big betsy! big mama! Just a few use it alldepends on what mood I am in.
  3. ribbon tale black/red. Or spinner bait
  4. I live in Reading,ma I would be interested in joing/starting a bass club.
  5. Location is a key factor. But your probablly not going to catch 5lb bass on 7"worm I dont care what the location is. The baits I have listed are big baits for me and they work.
  6. Up until two years ago all I caught was mostly 1-3lbs bass. Then I read a simple article" If you want to catch BIG BASS then you have to use BIG BAITS". Since I have started using big baits like 5-7" swimbaits,10" ribbon tail worm etc. I have just been killing them big bass after big bass. My biggest was this year 7lbs on a 10" worm. Over the past two years I have not caught much under 2-1/2lbs. If you want to catch big bass you have to use big baits.
  7. Anyone have any insight on the Battinkill river in upsate N.Y. I am heading there for weekend but never fished it. Any advice would be great!
  8. patience!! first locate some fish with plastic and then switch to a spinner or crank bait.
  9. Looking for new fishing holes in the nortshore. I am from Peabody and know a bunch of good spots.
  10. Three to four days of 95+ degrees, can't seem to find the bass. Finally the temp drops to 80 with low humidiity. What does this do to the fish and where do the go?
  11. I got em!!!! Saturday morning 6.7lbs 24"long on a 10" ribbon tail worm black/purple texas rigged. Just dragging across the bottom then I felt a little tic and saw my line start to straighten out so I set the hook.WOW what a fish. pics to come soon!!
  12. If you could see a largemouth thats atleast 6lbs just sitting on the bottom waiting for food you only have a few mins before she swims away. What bait do you use.
  13. you said it!! Baitfish,structure,patience
  14. last year 8:30am using a basspro watermelon frog reeling almost as fast as I could right along the outer edge of some lily pads 6lb largemouth. Funny thing is I caught her in the smallest pond that I fish.
  15. thanx . Since I started using bigger baits I have been catching bigger bass but fewer, OBVIOUSLY. Hopefully I can beat my PB of 6lbs caught on a basspro rubber frog.Get out there and keep with it the bass seem really aggresive right now.
