Where I am working at in the power plant there is a big area covered in water. They have been attempting to pump it out, but it pretty much stays there regardless. Well I'm not real keen on my pant legs getting wet so I tuck them into my boots. Thanks to the massive amount of heat and humidity down there. (Its a coal fired steam plant) My leg got rubbed raw by my boots with the pant tucked in. This was two weeks ago. I scratched the bejeebers out of it and ended up making it worse. Well I tucked my pants halfway through the day last friday and apparently some of that water had gotten on my pant legs. My entire calf's from the knee down broke out in a rash. We figured it was heat rash due to the humidity and heat. HA! It got progressively worse until last night when my legs started burning. Went to the doc today and apparently I am disease ridden. He informed me that I somehow managed to infect my legs. He prescribed me an antibiotic, and anti bacterial medicine, and a steroid. I ended up getting a cortisone shot and a steroid injection while at the Doc's. Both my feet have swelled tremendously, to the point I can't even slide my sandals over them. This absolutely sucks. Only upside is I can now refer to myself as a DRW "Disease Ridden Hore". So there is a silver lining to it I guess.
