  1. I'd go with the pro qualifier. Until I upgraded that was what I used. Worked like a champ too.
  2. The thread about the wooden iPad got me to thinking. What's the strangest thing, you've ever had someone on the street, be it vendor or bum, try to sell you? Let's try and keep it clean. Mine was about two years ago. I had a guy come up to me trying to sell universal remotes. No kidding. The man was hawking universal tv remotes.
  3. Always inspect the merchandise first. That's the first rule of street shopping.
  4. The Rooster. Never in my life have I put that much thought into casting a bait caster. It makes perfect sense. Still I've never even thought about all that goes into it. I guess it has become second nature for me now. I'm gonna be mad as a hornet if I start flubbing my cast because I'm thinking about what u wrote. Zenyoungkoh. The beat advice I can give you is the same as most everyone else has said. Practice practice practice. When I was learning to cast sidearm, in my backyard. I picked out a random tree about twenty yards away, and would try to hit the trunk. It gave me something to aim for and kind of added a element of accomplishment to the task. I still do that sometimes when I can't get out to fish, its partly how I became ambidextrous with my fishing rods. Throw ten with the left hand, then ten with the right, and repeat. Heck 8 times outta 10 I can put my lure in a sauce pan at 40 yards, side arming it.
  5. I would spend more time killing furry forrest creatures.
  6. That's cause you didn't use dry animal feed.
  7. About the same. I've caught 10 bass since june. Granted I haven't fished even a quarter of what I usually do. Four of em were this month.
  8. Hot dog I'm kinda iffy about. I would imagine bread would work just fine. I actually believe that we used bread when we were outta cat food. I would place a few under the algae, a few about six inches off the shore by the algae and other various spots it looks like they might congregate. Oh and make sure that they are completely submerged.
  9. Wow that takes me back. My buddies and I used to make those when we were kids. We always used cat food in them. Worked like a charm, we'd catch hundreds of them.
  10. Shhhhh. THEY might be reading this right now.
  11. True, but hooks and line don't do a whole lot of good against those two legged animals.
  12. We had one living in our dorm when I was in school. I tried to be cool towards him even though most the other guys treated him like trash. A year later he was living with my girl Shawty and two of her friends. We were having a party over at their house and I was completely obliterated. Some little dork popped off to me and I shattered his nose. What I didn't know at the time was the eleven people standing by him were his friends. While the twelve of them stomped me, my four buddies stood ideally by and watched opened mouthed. The only one to help me was the "roommate". Son, he comes running outta the house with a dang Louisville Slugger and starts busting heads. I wound up becoming good friends with him after that. Man was I glad I had been nice to him the year prior. I guess what I'm trying to say is don't judge the man before you've even met him. He might be the only one to help you out one day.
  13. For the cranking setup, Id go with a Calcutta 200b they're 199 and a Powell Endurance med/hvy extra fast 7'2" they're 169. Total 370 before tax. That leaves 330 for dropshot/finesse and baits. Can't advise on the ds/finesse seeing as how I've never really tried them.
  14. X2 I personally prefer the size of my round reels over my low profiles. They fit my giant hands better.
  15. Jumper cables from bottom to top of meter sockets Naw I'm just funnin ya. The power co. really frowns on that, I believe it is also a felony.
  16. The main pond I fish gets down to about eight feet at the center. The rest of it is between four feet to a foot. I usually run a rattle trap or crank over these shallow areas. Through the weeds and the wood then mop it up with a tube or jig. However, I will also fish my cranks like a top water bait and that has been slaying them on my ponds or the lake. A tiny rebel insect crank has been very effective in the ponds as well. It takes a whole lot for me to put down a crank and swap to a jig or tube.
  17. That is hysterical! True, but hysterical. At the same time though, I catch them on cranks and rattle traps year round. Maybe its the insane amount of confidence I have in them, I dunno.
  18. I beg the differ. The six pounder I caught last month looked at me and said, "Raider, that Calcutta Powell combo you just caught me with is dope."
  19. 1st rifle, Yugoslaviaian SKS 1st bolt action rifle, .308 Remington 700 1st shotgun, pistol grip Mossberg 12gauge with a riot pump. 1st handgun, glock 23
  20. Went out last night with an old buddy of mine and we ran his dogs. Got eight coons over the course of the evening. I can't wait to get my dogs, and start training them up. Hopefully this won't interfere with my fishing too much. I mean I live to fish, but this is definately a close second, with bow hunting deer now falling in third.
  21. I recommend a 17hmr. Dang bullet is smaller than a .22 just tell your mom its a pellet gun and don't let her see the rounds. That thing will kill any and all small furry forrest creatures, and it does it very efficiently.
  22. The car works very well. My brother in law and myself have been dropping them on the banks of the lake we night fish all the time. Couple of possom as well. The only time I've ever been with the dogs, was back when I was about ten years old. I had the best time ever running through the woods following them dogs. Once the wife and I sell this miserable condo, we're getting two red bones. Once theyre trained my son should be old enough to go hunt with us.
  23. I justed snorted water out my nose when I read that. Thanks for the laugh.
