  1. My baby sister just turned 18, and I used to take her to do tomboyish stuff. We used to have a blast hanging out. She has long since discovered boys and would rather hang out with them and her friends. Which is completely understandable. But man we used to have some fun hanging out. I really hope my wife and my next child is a girl.
  2. That was a great story. What an awesome experience to have. I think ya did the right thing by turning her loose. Oh, and I am definitely jacking the phrase "hooked a moving bag of cement". That describes the feeling to a T.
  3. Wait a second, hold up. You mean that even though Boise State lost we are still gonna have to hear about them? Granted I will give them the fact that they beat Georgia the first game of the year. Which seeing as how Georgia destroyed Auburn today, is probably saying something. Even if Auburn is horrible this year. Awww who am I kidding. Boise State has a dang fine football program, and has for the last however many years. I'm glad they are finally getting some recognition for their program.
  4. That's a long time and a LOT of work. Competely understandable, but still. Sounds about like he's picked a heck of a job field to go into. That's a bunch of education for sure. But hey he knows what he wants to do. I figure its just like everyting else, if it was easy everyone would do it. I spent five years as an apprentice learning the trade, and honestly am still shocked that there was so much to learn about electrical work, and electricity in general. Heck I'm still learning about electricity and I passed my journeyman exam last May. The good thing though is no one will ever no other than myself and a few choice others what my passing grade was. Don't get me wrong I did good on it and passed it my first try, only 25% of electricians pass their first time. Still that grade has no bearing on any future jobs I apply for. Now the welding part as long as I pass whatever welding test a particular company gives me that's the bulk of the certification that I need for it. Oh, and best of luck to ya with that final year of school.
  5. I agree with you whole heartedly homie. I wouldn't give it up for anything. My boy is the light of my life. Boy loves to go fish, he can't sit still long enough to stay with it, but he loves beating the banks with me. His second favorite thing is going out to the bps with me to watch the fish. In another year I can take him coon hunting with me, which seems to be his next ambition. He doesn't seem big on deer hunting yet, but I think that'll come with time. Really I just love hanging out with him. Hopefully will have him a sibling next year to play with, as well.
  6. How do you go about getting a CPA? More schooling I'm guessing. Forensic Accounting is what he's shooting for. Homies wife is already mad about them living with his mom, while both they are both in school full time, and neither is working. Me thinks a storm might be brewing, if that's the case. They both just started their second year of school.
  7. Kind of rough for being thirty one at the earliest when he graduates. But, I think he'll be good at it.
  8. I used to, least in my mind, be a hell of an artist with an etch a sketch. I can't even draw a block on one now. And to make it all better my three year old son, the art critic, just told me "wow, your a bad drawer dad" Least I can still impress him on his magnadoodle.
  9. I thought 100 grand sounded off to me. The language thing does make since though. I never really gave much thought to financial language before. But yeah German sounded a bit strange to me as well. Heck the boy is majoring in accounting and criminology, least I think that's what its called. And minoring or triple majoring in German. Again at least I think all that is what he said. It may be bad, but I kind of space out when he starts talking about all that.
  10. My brother in law is back in college full time and has been running hi yap lately, and I'm curious if its true or not. Maybe yall can shed some light on this for me. Question 1. Do FBI accountants really pull down 100 grand a year starting out? Question 2. Is German really the language of world finance? I think someone is spreading it pretty deep, but I could be wrong after all my sister in law says I'm just a white trash tradesman, so what do I know. Oh and none of this will be repeated to him. He's one of my best friends and Im not about to start up with him over his career choices.
  11. Only thing that could make me watch that, would be if hank III was playing. That boys got some talent.
  12. My wife was disgusted. However I thought it was hysterical.
  13. Never tried the KVD rods. I got a Powell Endurance 7ft that works awesomely. I highly recommend them.
  14. Any given Sunday homie. Plus don't forget the old saying, "even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes."
  15. I feel for Yall. Thank God it isn't us again. We have been doing rotten for years. I think we finally got our ducks in a row, and are doing good. Raider Nation til I DIE!
  16. How dare you sir. If Auburn can't beat LSWHO, at least Bama will. Might as well keep that Championship trophy in the state. Them "other" Tigers gonna be crawling back to their bayou's, after Bama rips them apart. And as for turn coat. Homie, I bleed Black and Silver, not orange and blue. Otherwise my name would be, WarEagle Fisher. That ended after Auburn gave me the boot. I still root for them, but not to the extent that I do my beloved Raiders. Man I love SEC football and the smack that goes with it.
  17. Had one when I was in college. His name was Bunnicula. I didn't name him the girls that gave him to me did. Lived up to his name too. That rabbit was super smart, least as far as rabbits go. I used to walk him around on a leash around the quad and wherenot. I'm telling you that rabbit was a girl magnet. As for my first pet. We got an Old English Sheepdog when I was six. Dang dog was enormous. Sweet as could be, and fun to play with.
  18. From an Auburn fan, I hope Bama tears LSU apart. I hate those "other" tigers more than I do the Tide. It's the only game that I cheer for Bama in the entire season.
  19. Heck yeah. Now we got us three decent receivers. Ford has been doing good, heyward bey keeps getting better every week, and now we have a veteran that's played with Palmer before. If Hue keeps it up we're gonna have a decent team. Plus our running game is amazing. I agree with you 5bass, I'd like to see TO come to the Raiders. BLACK AND SILVER TIL I DIE!!!!!!!
  20. ROFLMAO
  21. In no way was I trying to take away from what he is doing. I'm happy he is helping others that need it. I was just stating that there are people here, that need help also. I in no way said he should not go do what he feels he is being lead to do. If it came across that way then I apologize. I just don't see the reason why we as Americans always rush to fix the problems of the rest of the world when we have are own here. If that makes me a bad person then so be it. If people want to go help others in other countries, fine, more power to them. It just seems to me that all you ever here about is going to help in _________(insert country here), and not that much about what people do or are doing on the home front. Again if wanting to take care of the people in America makes me a bad guy, hate monger, inhuman, careless being. Then so be it I'll wear that badge with pride. If someone cares to shed some light on that for me (without attacking me), I would be more than happy to hear the reasoning behind it.
  22. There are people here that need houses and doctoring. I never could understand why Americans feel more obligataed to take care of the rest of the worlds poor before our own. Well I'm done with my soapbox now. Have fun.
  23. Wow, I never realized there were so many different types of apples. I always just figured an apple was an apple. I'm gonna have to disagree with all of Yall though. Crab is the best kind of apple.
  24. Cranks and lipless cranks. I can catch em year round on those two.
  25. Its a "private" lake. The pharmaceutical company that I used to work for has an office building next to it. They own the lake and the land, but don't really care who fishes it as long as they don't get on the office side without permission. And if I recall correctly, myself and four others are the only ones with permission to fish the pond, as well as the office side bank.
