  2. Just wish ebay wouldn't need this to be on APPS - I just will bait it on the next time around
  3. For that - I would pick up the St. Croix Mojo ML Rod.
  4. Stop your research and get the NRX 873 CCR ! Trust me - this is a beast !
  5. Thanks for the video...this might be something I will do.
  6. Update: Had two rods that needed repair on. One had broken tip which converted to 6'5 rod instead of 6'9. I thought i would try this out to see if it meets my needs. Rod: Carbonlite MH Extra fast action (Black) turned out 6'9 to 6'5. Reel: Daiwa SV103XS (7.9) Tested it out twice and I was skipping beautiful...
  7. The limit run of Pro Qualifer (blue) is available at two speeds for 49.99. 6.8.1 (28 IPT) & 7.5.1 (31 IPT) I was also gotta pick it up but decided not to as I have those Curado 70 and SV103 in my arsenals. Instead, I went old school and bought BPS PQ 4.7.1 today.
  8. I'll admit that I gave up skipping after getting tons of backlash with my baitcaster setup in the past. I just couldn't do it no mater what I did. Last year, I decided to invest into the SV103XS. Man, it was day and night difference for me. Now I am able to skip under the docks with 3/8oz jigs/trailers. I still get some backlash but its like 3 times out of 100 attempts.
  9. Im back on this again - What is the advantage of using Owner Round Bend Widegap hook ? Im seeing that it cost .05 cents more. I'm not sure if I will ever throw in the heavy cover. It would be mostly docking/trees/branches. (Owner Deep Throat jig hook) https://www.siebertoutdoors.com/Dredge-Dock-Rocker-Jighead-306.htm (Owner Round Bend Widegap hook. Owners Description: Flip 'n' pitch jig hooks, with a 60° eye-bend and a heavy-duty, forged XXX strong shank, ideal for horsing big bass out of heavy cover) https://www.siebertoutdoors.com/Grid-Iron-Dock-Rocker-Jighead-307.htm
  10. I use that for chatterbait. It's a beast
  11. Yup, got the SV103XS last year. It was Day and Night ! I can skip over 100 times with 2 to 3 backlash but not that bad. For the MH XF - Texas Rig ! You wanna kidnap those babies !
  12. Red Eyes - can have a pigment variation that gives them red eyes. It is pretty rare. However I am starting to see more and more of them around here.
  13. That "In Store Availability" has been helpful. It gives me the purpose of going or not.
  14. Thanks all for your post - I am still looking around to see if there is something better. I just want a jig that would make it easier to skip. I could use anything that resemble the arky but want a good one.
  15. can you tell me what model this is ? since I like the battery pack at the back.
  16. Agree ...Just makes me act like this:
  17. Love to make my own jigs with wire tie, I need to get something to skip better Been hearing about this: Dredge Docker Rocker : (Does that look sexy?) Does anyone have experience with this product or suggest something else? if so, should I get 10 of 3/8th or 5 of 3/8oz and 5 of 1/2oz? Or is it better to get 10 of 3/8oz due to weight of the craws on it. What do you guys think ?
  18. Before we throw some ideas, what is your budget? Spinning/Casting? what application ?
  19. Nice score you got there....the first day of fishing last year, I found a whopper pobber on the side of the shore. Just a few cleaning with hook replacement. It's back in action.
  20. same here - been checking everyday to see if I can save some buck. I just need it by March so I have "time"
  21. Just welcomed him to the family - Dobyns DC705CBMF Gotta be a crankbait slayer
  22. Just reviewed the spring classic sales - It's the same/similar every year. Surprised that the Combo isnt included this year. Guess BPS Sticko,Sufix 832 Braid & Berkley X9 Braid line is the only items I "want". I think I will skip this year and use everything that I have but I live like 12 miles from BASS PRO
  23. Just added another dobyns into my arsenal Dobyns DC 705CBMF Glass - Gotta be a bad ass crankbait rod
  24. Does anyone have any idea or suggestion on this? I think I should set up a separate binder. Question is how does that work since majority of them were bought on this forum and others. In other words, there is no "proof".
  25. Love those two reels (Curado 70 & Core 50MG7). I have replaced the handles for longer ones. Not only that, Upgraded two of my core with Shimano 7.7 Brenious Chronarch 50E fast gear kit.
