  1. 1200.00 bucks for a 17ft 85 nitro bass boat w/150 mercury black max outboard and 46lb thrust 12V trolling motor and trailer. owner says boat needs paint or gelcoat and new carpeting. What do you all think. I would post the link to the craigslist advert. but I Can't yet, not enough posts. Owner also has a video of the motor starting on youtube, it sounds pretty good
  2. unfortunately we didn't get a pic with the tape measure next to her. d**n it, I think you have to have a pic when certifying by length. I will get her next time... ;D
  3. Thanks for all the congrats, biggest LMB I have ever caught. Caught her in my neighborhood lake out here in King George. Pretty sure I hooked her this summer but she got off at the boat. I didnt know that was a state citation I thought it was 8lbs for a citation? anyway caught her dragging the bottom with a black and blue jig with yamamatsu(sp) split tail grub trailer. We had been slayin 1-2lbs all summer in this lake. got a 2-4lber in the spring but nothing this big have I even heard fo being in there. Being such a small lake I am gonna try to do some management from here on out. Gonna start eating or relocating at lot of the smaller ones we catch next summer. Try to thin out some of the competition. My buddy also caught a chain pickeral the same day probably around 2-3 lbs. really cool looking fish, didn't know those were in our lake either. By the way I put her back. Catch and release only way to go with the big girls Question: Is there anything I can do now , Citation wise??
  4. weight shot
  5. Caught this bad boy on Friday about noon, 10 foot of water at 42 degrees. 7.5 lbs. and 22 inches long
  6. yeah , I think they are all sstill shallow in our parts, buddy and I hit our home lake, 2 LMB caught, both in less tan 5 feet. mine was right on the bank in a bout 2 feet of water near some logs, his was in the middle caught on a shallow running crank. crazy *** bass I got no clue where they are
  7. By the way really enjoyed the lake, nice scenery, deep, tons of cover, lay downs, drop offs, rocks , it had it all. looks like a great place fish. Not sure though it was my first time there
  8. Tried around that point with cranks and slow jigging, finder was showing only 6-8 ft of water?? looked deeper than that the way the bank sloped. Did see a big ol beaver go in the water right there. probably scared any fish that were there off. Any way gonna give my home lake a shot Friday out here in King George. Presidential lakes. Did well this summer missed the whole month of October due to work. they are definetly not hitting on or sitting in the same places they were in August... Tried my lake twice only catching a small one each time, both on smaller cranks. but that was before I learned about fall/winter fishing and some of the techniques. SO any Idea where the bigger bass will be holding up? just general tips would be appreciated, you know depth, cover, that sort of info would be great. thanks for the replies
  9. Went out Saturday. Cool in the AM. got a flat on the trailer on the way out, that sucked and wasted an hour. got on the water at about 10am. An hour later caught two decent crappie within two casts out in the middle on a drop off and that was it all day. Dont know what I am doing wrong. full sun day, little breeze, water temps were between 50- 54. Threw black and blue jigs with trailers, rapalas Xraps(x2) different colors, deep diver cranks, crawdad cranks. All moving really slowly with pauses. From my (not quite sure how to work it yet) fish finder it looked like there were fish around. ? I dont know, anyone in the VA area having any luck?
