Yup. I fished a lot when I was a kid, but only started getting back into it in the last couple months. I've been teaching myself how to use a baitcaster, and getting a feel for fishing again after forgetting pretty much everything.
I've had some rough days, that's for sure. Hell, the first time I finally *nailed* the spot I was trying to hit with a baitcaster, I got so excited I forgot to stop the spool and backlashed all over the place:) It's a humbling sport sometimes.
But just today, I threw a perfect cast that took advantage of the wind and sort of wrapped a dock from the bank, and I pulled in a 5 pounder that fought like a rabid dragon. What a blast.
Good things come. If nothing else, I love being outside in the quiet. It clears my mind like nothing else.
