What part of the lake you catch them at and on what?

I know this is a very very verrrrrrrrrrry old topic but will this happen again? I know people wanted to fish more than one lake so I figured that starting early would be probably be better.

Just as long as it doesn't rise to far. Wanna stay close to the lakes. :

Yea, the only thing I didn't like about living on campus was when I watched games in my dormroom, since the broadcasts were like 8 seconds behind I would hear the fireworks go off before they showed the score on tv. The good news was that I could bet my friends I could see into the future on touchdown plays. :

Yea, the Titans my have the fire power now to actually beat the Colts right now. Even tho I think the Colts are the best team in the league with the way Peyton Manning is playing right now. Sometime I wonder if Peyton Manning drafted himself in fantasy football because on 1st and 1 on the goal line sometimes I'm not surprised when he tries to pass it 4 times in a row. On that note I think it would be cool for Peyton Manning to say a draft pick at the Draft. I can see it now.... "With the 32nd pick in the draft, Peyton Manning (since we all know it would be cool to hear him talk in the 3rd person) selects firstname, lastname.... receiver from Ohio State...." 2 days later... "With the 256 pick of the draft, Peytom Manning selects firstname, lastname, tackle from Michigan State." Announcers: "Well there you have it, Peyton Manning with his 7 picks selected 4 receivers and 3 left tackles!!" Hahahaha!!!

I wouldn't mind joining the club myself. One of the main reasons why I took a hiatus from fishing was because I didn't know anybody else who fished. So joining a club or atleast some people who fish constantly would be cool to do.

Yea Echo Lake was drained back in 2008 I think. They restocked it with sunfish and other small fish in 2009 and catfish and bass this past summer. I went out there a couple times trying to start my friend off fishing this past August. I've seen some people catch some small sunfish but I seem to catch catfish after catfish after catfish on worms right by the dock. Just dropped my line in and they just attacked it. I've tried fishing at crump park and got nothing but another family was out there using bread and caught like a 1-2# catfish. I then tried one of the lakes at Three Lakes Park and got nothing. I've heard of people who fished over at Innsbrook but haven't been over there myself. I have a friend who works over in that area and he says he knows of people who drop off fish there. But with Echo Lake out of commission I'm struggling trying to find a good place to go without a boat.

I guess I can't see welcome to the boards since technically you joined before me but welcome anyways. Just trying to get in touch with as many Richmond people as I can so I'll have fun people to fish with for next year.

Hey, thanks everybody. And Sam I live on the northside of Richmond just south of Ashland. I used to fish at Echo Lake a lot about 10 years ago, but they just recently drained and restocked it so it's not that good of a fishing place anymore. All the other small lakes around me pretty much have nothing in them. So basically I'm just trying to step up to bigger lakes with bigger fish. And with no boat it's kinda hard to do.

Hey everybody, I just found these boards yesterday and I think they're great. I've just gotten back to enjoy fishing again with some help with some friends and want to take my fishing knowledge to a new level. I figured this would be the place to look to acquire such information. I don't have a boat or anything yet since I'm still in college but I do have a rod and some tackle. So if anybody has knowledge on the lakes around Richmond and wouldn't mind sharing a little info here and there I'm all ears.

Yeah, I want to plan a fishing trip Briery Creek sometime this month myself. I'm trying to treat my dad (who is mainly a salt water fisherman) and my friend to a good day of some bass fishing but I am serverly lacking in equipment (ie boat and different type of lures), and information (places to fish and what to look out for...). Is there a place where I can rent a jon boat or something or do I have to find one myself? Thanks to anybody who can help and I'm going to try to read up on some information posted by Wayne and others.
