  1. This is a shot in the dark, but would the dragstar from the Sol work?
  2. IMO, the Citica is the best reel for the money right now.
  3. I've been eyeing one of these reels lately based on the rave reviews they have recieved. But, I can't seem to find that much of a difference between the SX and STX models. The only feature that I can find that the STX has that the SX doesn't is the Infini Spool 2 system which enhances casting. Just wondering if there is any other difference out there between the two that warrants the $50 price difference?
  4. Nope...I saw the same games unfortunately. But a sore loser I am not. My hat is off to the Cubs and Dusty for pulling of an impressive four game sweep. In fact, i wil say that over the past two seasons the Cubs have had the Cards number. Good thing we won't see them in the playoffs anytime soon.
  5. Now, I am a diehard Cubs fan and they suck this year, but did they not just sweep the Cards this past weekend or was I watching a different game than you?
  6. First of all, I make sure I'm on the water before the sun gets up. A couple techniques that have been working for me lately besides the deep water bite is slop fishing and skipping docks with a senko. The thing about dock fishing is that not every dock is gonna have fish under it. Look for docks in the deepest water or with deep water access real close by.
  7. KVD, the guys a machine and a great guy.
  8. I would fish around those islands and fish saddles between them.
  9. Watermelon/Red and Green is the color I fish about 90% of the time.
  10. 6 lb smallie caught while I was walleye fishing on a jighead tipped with a leech.
  11. Oh man, that things a pig!!! Even if it isn't recognized as the WR, it shows you its only a matter of time before someone breaks the record.
  12. Yeah, don't expect to much tomorrow. But what I would do is throw a small 3-4" white grub on a jighead on light spinning tackle and work it along the bottom.
  13. It's gotta be crazy down there now that 400 is worth so much. Can't wait to see who gets it!
  14. For the best multi-species area, I would say Oneida or Vilas Co. in northern Wisconsin or the Leech Lake area in Minnesota.
  15. When there's ice on the lakes. >
  16. One thing I try is to fish as the conditions will allow me to in order to hopefully establish a pattern or something that I can work off of. Then I can always slow down later and really target certain areas.
  17. This same thing happened to me on one of the Great Lakes. I could see the bass and I tried throwing everything I had at them. Nothing seemed to catch their attention except a wacky rigged yum dinger. If I was you I would just keep trying different things and be versatile.
  18. Lightnin rod hit it dead on. Keep your finger under the line and and if you feel anything funny set the hook. Kind of like jig fishing for walleyes, you'll barely feel em pick it up some times.
