For anyone who is interested in FOBA...Our next cub meeting will be held next Wednesday, Feb. 1st at Dick's Sporting Goods in Gaithersburg. I would encourage anyone interested in friendly tournament fishing throughout the area to come check it out. We will be discussing our 2012 tournament schedule in more detail as well as general club functions. The season starts at the end of March so now is the perfect time to come and meet everyone! Apparently my original post got moved and then deleted when I questioned it :|...So I'll just post in here since it really only applies to MD guys. Fish On Bass Anglers is looking for new members for the upcoming season, both boaters and co-anglers. FOBA strives to provide a fun and competitive environment for both beginning and experienced anglers. I had a longer, more informative post written but the real information is easily found on our website, www.fishonbassclub.com. It's a great way to learn new techniques and fish new water. Our tournament locations include Lake Anna, Lake Gaston, Black Hills, Potomac, Conowingo, Deep Creek, and several more (there are 13 each season). We meet on the first Wednesday of every month (except December) and tournament season runs from March thru October. You can also post in here and I will try to visit the site as much as I can (if I don't get booted from it ) to answer questions. Hello All, ‘Fish On Bass Anglers’ is a non-affiliated bass club located in Montgomery County, Maryland. FOBA promotes tournament fishing with the attitude of sharing knowledge and friendly competition. Our members work to provide a fun and competitive environment for both beginning and experienced anglers. Tournament fees are low ($25 for single-day, $30 for two-day) and with 13 annual tournaments there is always one to fit a busy schedule. A great way to learn new techniques and fish new water! Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month. I'm pretty sure we have some FOBA members here on this forum so hopefully they can chime in on how great the club is.... We typically average 15 or more boats at each tournament and we are hoping to grow even more. One thing that sets us apart from most clubs is that our members share where/when/how they caught their fish at each tournement during the weigh-in results.
