  1. Someone on here gave me the idea of using the rage tail craw on a jig as a trailer. It's expensive as heck, but that sucker is fire in the water. Love the action of the craw and so do the fish from my experience.
  2. Welcome to br
  3. osprey I also have to limit myself on br ha ha...I really read it hard a couple days before I go...weird I know, but never know what you may pick up on!
  4. welcome to br!
  5. Welcome, lots of good knowledge and know how here!
  6. Ok, went today and fished primarily a jig with a rage craw trailer. First fish of the day got hung under a log, came up and jump (my eyes lit up) and he took a dive down and broke me off....7 lb range. I was sick, however i finished up with several 2's, a 3.4, and a 4.8. So I'm convinced that jig trailer stirrin up so much water really helped my case. Thanks for the input. The rage was a big pick up, but dang i went through the whole pack and they're not cheap. Any body know of another trailer that may be cheaper that stirs up water like the rage craw? I love the diving action it has trailing that jig.
  7. Good deal. I do have brush hogs on deck for sure
  8. I like this very much ha ha
  9. Yeah my buddy lives and dies by the jig ha ha. I'm going to tie one on tomorrow. I've never rigged with a rage tail craw, so I'm going to do that. I've been riggin with zoom chunks. Thanks for the suggestions. I will def have this tied on tomorrow. Thank you guys for that. Anyone else?
  10. I'm fishing a spot tomorrow that has a consistent 2 to 3 pound average and bigger fish that have been caught in the past. It has a long dam on it and the dam is deep and gradually shallows to other end. I plan on starting with an early morn zara spook or buzz, then maybe t rig 6 inch finesse zoom/yum worms, a colorado white/char spinnerbait, and maybe a lipless crank. The water is pretty shallow right now. Maybe 8 or 9 feet at dam. There's been some good fish caught on a lizard....I was wondering if anyone had any other tricks up their sleeve they would call a "big bass bait". I realize that big bass will hit four inch worms or the "small stuff" also, but just wonderin if someone had somn that might get that big one to bite.
  11. Ok, yeah yaw were way up there closer to the dam probably. We hit up a private lil place today and buzzin did well through the fog. That temp drop had the whole lake fogged over. Then craw papis and dingers were consistent til like 10 ish. probably 30ish caught between us. All under 1.5lbs.
  12. U get a chance to hit the early mornin bite at the yokona ol tuck intersection? Buzz baits are great there if you can get away from the gar. The water is down a lot and it has been awhile since I've been. It was a lil slower last time we went. Where you put in at?
  13. I've never been anywhere that green pumpkin didn't work.
  14. Buzzbait, chatter, weightless fluke, zara spook, lipless crank. If it's gar that's after them beware they will murder a buzz bait ha ha. Buzz baits are simple and very effective in these conditions in my past experiences. (late eve/early morn)
  15. Had a HP 9mm and .380. Got a faulty clip with the .380 at first, but was replaced. They both shoot well and seemed reliable. Had no problems with them, but had to sell because I wanted a Glock .40 ha. Good buy with the High Point though, can't go wrong with em.
