  1. I have fished as boater and coangler... I have personally never asked for a specific amount of money from a co-angler, I have also refused to accept money cause I felt A) we didnt burn that much gas we werent ongood fish so that being my fault I am not accepting anything. As a co-angler I have been with good and bad Boaters not in fishing ability so much as attitude. As a boater i have had co-anglers that are good and bad. Just be a good guy and tlak to the boater he will treat ya right. I had a co-angler bring more stuff than me before... dont be that guy lol OVERALL ENJOY YOURSELF AND HAVE FUN
  2. Posted by: senile1 Cold conditions the past week hampered practice, but warming temperatures are expected to heat up the fish. Some found water as cold as 37 degrees on the first day of practice but it has risen significantly and is approaching 60 degrees. That's almost a 23 degree change in just two or three days. Does the water temperature in the Louisiana Delta really change that fast? I actually find it hard to believe that water temperatures were as low as 37 degrees down there. Did someone stick a thermometer into a puddle on a cold day or what? Hey I cant say there was a huge temp change just in 2/3 days but I was on the water a good bit and from the 5th (feb) to the 13th there was a change from 36-38 to 54-57 degrees on the smae exact place that I prewfished then fished in my tournament.
  3. I am set up to fish 3 different trails/circuits and several Charity Tournys with a total of 20-22 tournaments (by July) and the entree fees total around $3,100.00... My wife new I did this before we ever started dating so she cant complain (to much) lol
  4. I am not yet a father, but I have little cousins that I have taken fishing and it was a blast. I am serious when it comes to my fishing (you could say anal lol) but I make an exception when I take them with me. I try to make it something they enjoy even if that is boat riding or perch jerking. Just remember your dealing with a 7yr old, my life gets the same way he does when it comes to bass fishing but take her speck or red fishing an she is an animal. Like BONE siad make it interesting to them.
  5. Do any of you guys/gals plan on attending the classic?
  6. Are you trimming it all the way down before cranking on it? I had a 1991 200 that was a pain on the first start if it wasnt trimmed down a little lower than level (it was a carburated motor)
  7. nice to have you join us bayouXpress
  8. Thats actually pretty funny
  9. Yeah just to fish 3 opens, say for any selected region of the 3 regions, your looking at around 4grand for the 3 combined entree fees not counting travel expenses like fuel food and hotel plus prefishing expenditures so sponsorship can be a huge part of beingable to do what you enjoy at a competetive level.
  10. BASS put out there serious of like 5 or so books and Northeramerican Fisherman/Outdoorsman (whatever there called) put out a set also. Both of these are a decent set of books to have. I was able to get both (9 or 10 books) for $10.00 at a flea market. But I do own many of the other nooks listed. They have a few that have a section dedicated to how one would obtain sponsorship, these would be great reads for many younger anglers.
