I've been trying to look for information about bass fishing in highschool to give to my sports director at my school but it has been hard to find anything for Tennessee. I know there it is a Sanctioned sport in Illinois but I don't know if there is anyone else in the Midsouth area who is fishing in Highschool as a sport.

yea your right everybody on any major circuit now has SI and Power poles. Random question tho. I noticed Mark Rose was using 2 depthfinder units up front and 2 in the back during the Chicuamauga tournament. Was he using sidescaning for one and using the other one just to check the movement of his bait?

Probably going to get burned on this but Sexy Shad started a huge phenomenon just about 2 years ago. Wasn't a huge change but it made a difference.

I wish i could find an old Allstar TItanium cause thats what i had but it broke. Does anyone know if St. Croix has a good carolina rod? Or would a carbonlite do well as one?

I'll be apart of this already have stuff in mind to give.

I'm planning on getting a better Carolina Rig Rod I just need to know whats best for my money. I'm only planning on spending $100. Looking for something above 7' to 7'6. Thanks for the help, Lynyrdsky

This was probably me and my dad's last trip before the inevitable happens......cold weather and duck hunting. We had friends go out there yesterday and kill it so we decide to come down there today. Full moon, southernly winds, and perfect temperatures with the water at 55. It was perfect..... till we got there. The wind was so freakin rough it was unbearable at times. But, my dad stil caught some good fish. I say my dad cause i didn't catch didly. Dad caught 8, and i had 3 fish that would of made it to the boat if i had realized that having 6 pound test florocarbon on a spinning reel fishing a Mississippi River Oxbow wasn't such a good idea. I was using a spot remover stand up jig with a june bug zoom shakey head worm and was getting bites but it was to light of line. Dad was using a chartruese spinnerbait and a carolina rig with a black neon brushog going through freaking metal debris underwater and he was doing good. All in all it was a good trip. Got to drive down there, drive the boat, and control the boat for a little while so it was a learning experience. Will add picture of my dads 2 top fish when he sends them to me. You have a whole assortment of baits to use. You can use any deep diving crankbait. I know you don't like plastics but thats usually all I use. Usually carolina rigged plastics but thats my preference, Drop Shot would work to. If your fishing shore I would probably use plastics or a spoon. You're gonna have the crankbait dig a ditch into the bottom if you try bringing it to shore.

Yea only problem is he won't do it if he knows it's for my dad. Kind of bad blood between my parents and my sister and brother in-law right now.

I'd rather give my gear a proper barial before I give it way haha.
