  1. Yea.... It would be dumb for me to go return something I just bought so I'm probably going to have to live with my heat of the moment purchase.
  2. Yea I know, I wanted the Pfluager President but the guy talked me into getting the KVD
  3. thanks guys for the help I have a meeting with my Sports Director at my School tomorrow to pitch this idea to him. I will let you guys know how it goes. Thanks Again
  4. I'm a big fan of Wayne but you don't have a clue comparing him to Stewart , Bogart , Cooper and saying his better than Heston is very laughable. They all had different acting styles. Depending on the roles they had, they were all individually better than eachother. But, out of that list Charlton Heston is the lowest. Heston had some great movies like Touch of Evil with Orson Wells, Ben-Hur, and also Soylent Green but Cagney had Yankee Doodle Dandy, Public Enemy; Bogart had African Queen and Maltese Falcon; Stewart had It's a Wonderful Life and Rear Window; and Cooper had Seargent York and High Noon; and John Wayne had The Searchers and Sands of Iwo Jima. They all had countless other great movies. What I'm saying is based on Movie Backgrounds they all beat out Heston
  5. red black and silver yes.
  6. Awesome movie. And +1 on the Dukes swagger. "Don't worry, I aint gonna hit ya" Haha another example Mclintock "I'm not "intoxicated" yet!"
  7. Yea I wish had the money to have gotten a shimano but I got what I could get.
  8. Got info from TBF and their High School program. Only thing I am confused with is how do you fish tournaments with out boats and how do you get people familiar with boats if there isn't any available
  9. It says Jones Pond but not sure which one that is. I think it is the small one across from the bison area up the hill from the entrance but I am not sure.
  10. Just bought one, but does anyone on here have experience with them
  11. John Wayne was just as good as Bogart, Cooper, Stewart , and others. One prime example of his acting ability was in She Wore a Yellow Ribbon. He was playing a 50 or 60 year old man when he was much younger. But what really made his career was match up with John Ford and Henry Hathaway who, as directors, made movies to match his acting style. He wasn't as versatile as James Cagney and Jimmy Stewart but he was alot better than people like Charlton Heston
  12. Already went up there and they accepted that and also a BPS extreme reel i had that was having problems. I didn't get a new rod i just got a new KVD spinning reel that was on sale for 50 and they gave me the rest of money as credit. So overall it went good.
  13. Yea all i want is money towards a different rod
  14. I have a Skeet Reese rod i have had since August and it is in great condition. Will BPS let me return it with out the receipt. They know me enough up there to know i wouldn't be lying about that. Besides the guy probably remember me going up there and blowing 500 dollars/
  15. Thats awsome enjoy it. Its always great when parents surprise you like that. What did roadwarrior think i see him in the background :-?
  16. There never will be another John Wayne. There were a few contemporaries of his that their acting styles were pretty close to his, prime example probably be George C. Scott
  17. Did you see Jackie Gleason in highspeed persuit after Burt Reynolds? ;D
  18. Side note tho, there really isn't anyone besides Jeff Bridges who I think that can be almost as good as the Duke was in this role. Been cool to see Robert Duvall play Rooster tho. I think he could of pulled it off as good as Jeff Bridges but probably at the same level.
  19. Chaney had a bigger part of it in the book than in the movie. Also the character development of most characters was dumb down in the movie. Like the whole thing with Rooster Cogburn being in the Confederate Military and I'm trying to remember if LeBouf died in the book or not.
  20. The difference would be the relevence of Chaney's character and LeBouf. Also the thing with Maddie Ross's character losing her arm in the book.
  21. I have grown up on John Wayne and I am also a fan of the Coen Brothers. The Coen Brothers have already stated that their movie will not be like the Henry Hathaway directed original starring John Wayne and Glenn Campbell. It will be based more up the book that the original movie was losely based on. I have read the book along with seeing the original movie countless times, and I think that if anyone is going to do a good job remaking a John Wayne classic thats The Coen Brothers.
  22. Mr. Kent uuuhhh I decline the offer you gave me based on that statement....... that was just plain nasty jk tho it seems like this trip is going to be as fun off the water as on
  23. Luckily I got family that knows alot about fishing and the ones that don't just call the ones that do.
