Commercial appeal in Memphis put the BASSMASTER CLASSIC on Lay Lake In Alabama Feburary 19-21. Unless BASS changed it then Commercial appeal screwed up.

Haha yea. I think I've figured that I've spent about $1000 in the past 2 to 3 years just on equipment which I know is cheap for some. I see that my dad just doesn't want me to waste my time and money like he did for the years he fished in tournaments and circuits but he needs to know just cause he is burned out on the sport doesn't mean I am.

Been having this same conversation with my father for a couple months now. I'm realizing he may be right. He has been saying that I'm obsessed with fishing but in a bad way. Like all I talk about is fishing, even when we were duck hunting the other day all I was talking about was fishing. When I get the chances to fish I can not stay consistent. I'm always changing baits, changing rods, changing presentation, but not like I should. I'm not giving anything any time which I am now noticing due to performance results. He says that I should of showed interest years ago, and I'm overwhelming myself now with it. I've even noticed it on here that all my posts are always asking questions and I never actually contribute anything. This all may be due to my age and inexperience but, I am just asking if anyone else has ever become "to obsessed" with fishing?

Haha its fine. I mean if there is a reel for 150 but theres one thats for 100 that has the same performance but the only difference is its cheaper, you go with the cheaper one. Sorry for not being clear about that.

Enlighten us dummies please. In 1994 he got into the BASSMASTER classic through Federation Nation. Qualified for the Classic 2 years in a row finished dead last his first year and won his second year. At 23 he was the youngest ever to do so. Sadly he died in plane crash the same year he won the Classic.

My plan was to get a President but the guy at BPS somehow talked me out of it for some reason. But the whole thing i was trying to do was to find a reel that would fit a 7' Medium Light Microlite rod that I already had. But besides the point I should of gone with the President.

No I decided I didn't like it awhile ago. I tried to get used to it I just couldn't and I wasn't able to figure out should I keep it, sell it, or return it until recently.

Yea I really didn't like it. i tried to sell it and I tried to give it to my dad but he said just exchange it so i did.
