  1. Dang, I didn't even read the other post about the coupons. Still at $109 a piece I'm happy.
  2. Holy crap! I literally had just sat down to order a new Core 100MGfv when I saw this. THANK YOU Midnight Splash2!!! I just ordered two of these instead.
  3. It consistently breaks at that???
  4. Just wanted to add this to what I posted earlier... You said, "for average sized largemouth". I wouldn't say that I really change line size according to the size bass I'm fishing for. I'm always fishing for the biggest possible and I just don't think the size spectrum is that big with largemouth except in extremes like 12-13lbs.+, but even then, they can be caught on very light lines. Line size is more about technique, conditions, and cover than anything else, in my opinion.
  5. I didn't want to say anything, but I'm curious about this as well.
  6. Sorry to hear about your friends injury, but what you're doing warms my heart. Friends like you are hard to come by and that will be a gift that he'll never forget. I'll keep him in my prayers. btw...I hurt my back and love Cumaras .....j/k
  7. Mono- Sunline Super Natural Braid- Sufix 832 Higher test fluorocarbon- Toray Solaroam Upgrade Lower test fluorocarbon- Seaguar Invizx when treble hooks are involved, Seaguar Tatsu when trebles aren't involved.
  8. Is the blue that bright in real life on the black and blue?
  9. Looks like a nice reel, but I'm not willing to risk $350 on it.
  10. ROFLMAO...classic...
  11. Yeah, and it only took 27 different Revo models to get there.
  12. It doesn't take alot of jig fishing before you really start to appreciate a fine, high-quality jig. This is one of them.
  13. This is one of the coolest craws I've ever seen. The little ribs on the top and bottom of the claws and bottom of the body give it a very unique feel. This thing should make a really good flippin/pitchin bait. Might try it on a c-rig to. Looks awesome though, gonna order some more colors.
  14. Pitching a heavy jig with lots of flappers or punching something with a similiar profile...this time of year when it's tough anyway.
  15. I think some rules have to bent as far as naturalistic observation is concerned anyway because introducing a plastic man-made worm or a piece of cotton or whatever to a fish, even in it's natural enviroment, in itself is a contradiction. Is it not? Sam- Yeah, Dr. Jones' book and theories are very interesting and he obviously put alot of time and hard work into it, but he was getting paid to do it and had motive behind every aspect of it. I think that's what Catt is referring to as being manipulated.
  16. Josh- I posted a somewhat review on Yum F2 Crawfish the other day. You're right about one thing, F2 definitely gets left in the water but nowhere near your lure. I have about 7/8ths of a new bottle that I'll give you or anyone else that will pay the shipping. Grimlin- You're right about the water being dispersed too quickly for that to be of any consequence. If I'm not mistaken it was an article I read by Dr. Jones that stated that there are too many micro currents for it to even be possible for a bass to follow the scent trail of a lure, that the amount of scent wouldn't be substantial enough for there to be a followable trail per say. Not 100% that it was him, but it was Berkley's chief scientist so I'm pretty sure.
  17. I've found that after being heated "scentless" petro jelly becomes scented. All my efforts with heated petro jelly kept coming out with the same smell and I narrowed it down to the jelly. I eventually found the smell could be covered but it required such a large amount of the oil or other product that it was a waste or the desired consistency couldn't be achieved, still more of a liquid than a solid.
  18. Roughly speaking...start around page 197-303 of the BPS Master Catalog. That should just about cover it.
  19. Lol...you're pretty sharp kid. That's the biggest reason I like them better, the slower fall rate that is. It seems to me that you can hold a little tighter line on the Dinger without messing up it's fluttering action on the fall.
  20. As stated earlier, I literally soaked them. They were completely sub-merged for an entire week. Also, getting a fresh 3 or 4 squirts in the bag every day and mixed up so that every single appendage was equally covered. FishingkidPA- I'm with you kid. I prefer the Dingers over GYCB. They are cheaper, softer, and I've never had a situation where the Dingers didn't catch as many fish. Not sure why the attractant would be wearing off because it "should" be added in the mixture before pouring/injection whatever but I could be wrong.
  21. I don't believe it gets your scent off. I'm not kidding, I barely ran any water over them and that stuff was gone. Not even a greasy film was left. By the time you make a cast and the lure hits the water, I'd be surprised if any is left when the lure is six inches underwater. Sometimes that's all that's needed... Please don't take my opinion personally. Like others have said, I think all spray attractants are bogus. Unless you let them soak long enough to penetrate the plastic (if it will) it washes right off. Gulp crawfish is one that will penetrate. I played with it this week to. After being washed off you can still smell it a little, probably enough to cover human scent.
  22. Good stuff.
  23. Luckily, I spent no money on it and I hope I can keep others from wasting theirs. It is quite possibly the worst attractant I've ever tried. It has no adhesive or penetrating qualities whatsoever. I left a new bag of brush hogs soaking in it for a week straight, adding a little each day to keep it "fresh". After the week was up I took them out and lightly rinsed them off. Nothing. They smell just like they did last week before applying the F2. The new Yum F2 plastics that have the stuff mixed in during the pouring process will probably work just fine but the spray is lame. I love their senkos (dingers) and didn't see anything wrong with the scent they had a year or two ago. Now it smells like coffee. I'm not the authority on all things scent related but I spend alot of time playing with different ones and I can tell you this....buy two bags of worms, a couple of Bandit cranks, some hooks, ink cartridges for your printer...WHATEVER! Just don't waste $10 on this junk. Phillip
  24. Hmmmmm.....Okay, since about 90% of the time I've seen KVD on BassPros he's chucking something with treble hooks so yeah I'll agree with you there. Straight-shank or standard off-set hook...drop the tip, reel the slack, and cross her eyes. Works 90% of the time for me
  25. The nightcrawler wand is alright but the potion is useless. Wet a bag of worms and the next day the smell is gone. MegaStrike is the shiznit. There is trully nothing that compares.
