  1. Maybe I've just been unlucky or I'm just fishing them wrong. but these don't seem to even turn a head. How do you fish these? kinda like a jerkbait?
  2. I was just curious if anyone has a good recommendation for a bait that resembles a small bluegill. I've been fishing this lake and the bass have serious lock jaw until I get bored and fish for the little bluegills. When I catch these little ones I have to reel in extremely fast otherwise the bass will nail 'em. It's fun to watch but I'm trying to stray from live bait. Any suggestions?
  3. i love the black n' blue jigg! i put mighty bugs on them. works great. nice pics
  4. nice fish!
  5. nice!! Kermit the frog must have been excited!
  6. I've literally bought every type of F2 scented bait that YUM offers and have had success with EVERY product. Other than that, just give me a spinner and a popper and I'll have a good day.
  7. nice catches!
  8. nice catch!
  9. I love using top water with fluorocarbon. Use yum money frogs, their great. I don't know if this is true but from what I've witnessed I think the fish can see the bait better and don't tend to swing and miss
  10. yeah the fight was a little more violent than I had anticipated I'd like to hear other stories from people that might be fun to share
  11. Funny thing happened to me today while i was fishing for largemouth off of a dock in southeast New Hampshire. I had an amazing day and ended up catching about 10 bass that were all over 2 lbs each using a crawler. However, around 9:30am I ended up running out of live bait and threw a tiny piece of crawler on a large hook just to get rid of the last piece before I left for the day. Well, the next thing I knew I felt a little jerk on the line. I knew it wasn't a bass but started reeling in to see what had possibly went after such a weak piece of bait. As I reeled in I noticed that I had about a 6 inch yellow perch on the line. Yet, I somehow hooked it by the tail. I was reeling slowly just to keep up the fight when all of a sudden a 6 lb largemouth comes out of no where and engulfs the perch! I set the hook and had the best fight I've had this summer. I finally pulled the massive beast out of the water and got my best fish of the summer! However, the kicker to this fish tale was when I pulled the little perch out of the Goliath's mouth, put him back in the water and watched him swim away. This picture doesn't do the fish justice but it's my shoe and I'm a size 12.
  12. Thanks guys. I think I need to work on my finesse
  13. Hey I've been fishing Spofford lake in NH for a few weeks now and have only managed to catch very little smallmouths by the rock formation near pierces island. I've been using a drop shot with a night crawler and was wondering if I should be doing anything different to catch bigger smallmouths. These little guys are fun, but I want a good fight. Any tips on baits or tackle to get smallies?
