  1. You can sell it for a hundred bucks, in case you didn't know.
  2. No, but Matt Allen has a new video on his site about them.
  3. No one told these guys that jerkbaits are for cold water, and that I was fishing for bass. Released a bunch, kept a few.
  4. Awesome!
  5. That line is no good. You need to be fishing 15# SpWire FC. I think it's just the knot, though.
  6. $200 for a 316 OG Wake. Never caught a d**n thing on it, not even a follow. What a bummer! At least someone bought it from me for $250. ~$200 for an OG Castaic chubby cheeks. Caught only dinks. At least it was a piece of swimbait history tied to the end of my line, and that was pretty cool. ~$150 each for two Derps 250s. Not a lot caught on either of them, but they made up with getting big fish to show themselves. Most productive baits ever, for both numbers and size, have been the hardgill (gen 2) at ~$70 and the old faithful 8" hudd at ~$25- almost pocket change.
  7. 12 inchers will eat that thing just fine, and you'll get plenty of bites to keep your confidence up.
  8. Tom, do you fish jigs on Armilo now, or fluoro? Thanks,
  9. Must. Resist. Temptation. Where's Speed when we need him?
  10. The light rod sounds about right for panfishing. Maybe the ned rig thing too?
  11. A 5'7" rod?? Seems a strange length.
  12. Hide and seek under the pads with the devil('s spear). 3-2
  13. Someone's on a roll!!!
  14. Look into PLine PF.
  15. I don't fish lipped cranks, and hardly ever throw spinnerbaits (and obviously I'm not "smalljaw"). But I do fish quarter ounce buzzbaits on a BPS medium power cranking stick (7'6", 1/4 to 5/8 oz). Works like a charm. Caught 8 on a buzzer this morning. It's basically my all-purpose rod for lighter non-bottom bumping baits. I fish braid on it though.
  16. Always liked the skinny dipper for my quarter oz northern style swim jigs. Recently I got a bunch of 3.8" fat swing impacts in a trade, and fished them this morning. The paddletail size seems to be comparable to the skinny dipper, but I didn't detect as much side to side movement/ rolling of the jig (tail wagging the dog). The fish weren't complaining though, they loved it. I'm pretty impressed actually with the catch rate. Need to try the 4.3 and 4.8 inch sizes to see if I get can better secondary action.
  17. ^^ it must be the zero-gravity jig. Are you sure you're tying to the line-tie?
  18. I think you should try SD jam. Very strong knot. Unless you're using straight braid, and then I like the Uni knot.
  19. Nice fish. The other part sucks. Hope you can get the reel fixed or replaced.
  20. WTG Bill.
  21. Looks like a nice place to fish!
  22. Congrats!
  23. Now TT has a new review on an "SS SV"? What on earth is that? The gist I got so far is the Alphas SV is a reel I might want to try. Oh btw, I just bought another Curado I for under $100. How much better is this Alphas SV compared to the Curado I (mostly curious about casting, especially lighter baits)?
