  1. I am glad someone brought this up because I argue with my buddies all the time about why they switch hands. I go with left handed baitcasters.
  2. Hello. We make a couple of trips down to Briery each year.
  3. A lot of people have been saying they are catching some Largemouth in the in our area of the New this year. I have caught a couple and they are actually Kentucky Bass that have features of both Smallie and Largemouth.
  4. John Crewes so I could maybe outfish my brother-in-law on Smith Mt. Lake.
  5. Black, electric blue, any green.
  6. I did not mean taking the kids out without a parent or adult with them. Trust me being in education I know what the problems are there. I just meant I was thinking of catering my service more as a learning to fish instead of a big fish service like most around here like to "claim".
  7. Hello I am from Giles, VA. I fish the New River mainly for smallies. Grew up right here and have been fishing it my entire life. Saw this forum and decided to to join and learn from all the posters on here. Also I posted on the main forum that I am thinking about guiding some. Take a look at my post and let me know what you think.
  8. Not looking to make it a full time business and making a killing. Just thought it would be something to do doing the summer that I can have fun doing and maybe make a little money on the side. I thought maybe a parent that does not get the opportunity to take their kid fishing might would with this. My wife agrees that it would not work but her thoughts are because my boat is not big enough. That is one of the reasons I would like to do it is so I can upgrade. I also thought about maybe some wade fishing as I have a lot of access to some of the safer places around here. Thanks for your replies.
  9. I am a school teacher and am thinking about guiding during the summer. I have a 14' jon boat that I would take people out on. I am thinking some people(novice fisherman and kids) might like this option better than a raft with the rapids. I was thinking there might be some people that would just like to learn some basics about fishing. What do you guys think?
