  1. I used to get my prescription glasses with magnetic sunglasses but I found that they let too much light in the sides. This summer I picked up some Solitaire fit over sunglasses at my eye doctor for $25. I will never go back. They offer so much more protection, and I even use them when I am chainsawing as safety glasses. The actually don't look too bad either... my wife wouldn't let me get them if they did look bad. http://datasheets.globalspec.com/ds/1254/SafetyGlassesUSA/BA2BC5CA-9CF7-4554-B760-5021735AF2CF
  2. Listen to Sugarland's first cd "Twice the Speed of Life" and then listen to the latest cd "The Incredible Machine". There is a huge difference in the way she sings.
  3. I used to like her, but the more popular they get the more she over-sings.
  4. Get a lip gripper, it makes life so much easier when dealing with catfish and toothy critters...
  5. I got rid of my ugly sticks because they were too flimsy at the tips.
  6. Not on my boat... it's 12'. I rigged up a rod holder that I can carry 4 rods.
  7. I have BPS The Strike for the Wii and it is pretty fun, but I haven't tried any others.
  8. I had a Citica 201E that started making some strange noises, so I sent it to shimano and they replaced the gears and stuff. All under warranty. I went to use my backup, a Cabela's Tournament ZX flipping switch, and the spring that pushes the thumb bar back up went bad. That I replaced myself.
  9. Just wondering how many spare reels you guys have, and if you carry them with you and how often you use them? I don't plan on purchasing any more rod/reel set ups in the near future, but I am always curious about different reels. Also, this summer I had a couple of reels malfunction on me. I don't want to spend the money to have a reel sit, but don't want to be without if one does need some work. What are your thoughts?
  10. That is essentially what I use, except on a smaller scale. I have one 3700 for cranks, 1 for twisters, 1 for worms/creature/tubes/frogs, 1 for spinner/buzz baits, 1 for terminal. I have several smaller boxes for topwaters, crappie jigs, jerkbaits, and bass jigs, and other misc. lures. This all goes into a Cabela's tackle bag.
  11. It would help to know what kind of boat, length etc... Yeah, the type of boat and trailer makes a huge difference. My boat is a 12'semi V. Once everything is ready I back the trailer in until the back of the boat starts to float up. Depending on the angle of ramp, I might back in further but never far enough that the truck tires are in the water to the rim. Then I loop the bow rope to the trailer and push the boat off. Then I grab the rope and tie the boat to the dock, or beach it and tie it to a tree. When it is time to load up, I back the trailer in so the bunks are partially submerged. Again the amount depends on the ramp. Now I take to beached boat and push it out and pull it back by the bow rope and get it on the bunks. Then I get on the tongue and pull the winch strap to the bow eye and crank it on. Now, my father in law has a 16' deep V with a 100hp Johnson, on a really nice shorelander trailer with roller bunks. All you have to do is back it in until the stern floats, back it off and dock it. To load it, just back the trailer in so that most of the bunks are under and drive it on and hook up the winch strap. Don't forget to unplug your lights before backing into the water! Also, do a search on this site as well as you tube on launching and loading boats. You will find a lot of what not to do.
  12. So the oil mix won't do any harm to my mower? It's a John Deere riding mower.
  13. How do you dispose of the gas?
  14. Thank you everyone for all the great ideas.
  15. I like the sound of that! And the smell too
