  1. But seriously though, while on the bank or boat just give em the old columbian neck tie! Slit them from gill to gill and toss them on ice to let them bleed out.
  2. Now thats funny! And kinda true.
  3. How can i get my hands on a couple of those? Do you sell them?
  4. I bought a rod and reel combo from Dick's over the summer for my son and the rod broke. I did purchase the warranty but I can't find the documentation or even the receipt so I have not returned it. Does anyone know how they will handle it if I just walk in with it? Thanks
  5. How did you register? I can't seem to find a place to register or log in. Thanks, Marc Just access one of the advanced features, like the tack, and you'll be prompted. Thank you

  11. Up here in upstate NY, the bite has died right off for me :'(. The last week or so we have had warm weather (55-65 degrees) with it falling into the 30s at night. Still no luck. I have a feeling that our water temps are slightly colder than yours though. I've tried just about every type of presentation I can think of. It may be time for me to chase Walleye.
  12. Ofcourse I know where that is! I travel between northeast Pa and Norwich NY all the time. I went to Windsor High School and my son is in middle school there now. He plays basketball against Greene this year. Any good honey holes in Greene?
  13. I'm definitely going to pick one of these up. I think I'd like the 10' version. It seems perfect for the type of fishing that I do (I can't justify an expensive bass boat To the wife). Thanks.
  14. Where is the club out of? I'm in the Binghamton area. I would consider joining.
  15. Have any of you tried the frogs from FloridaKayakFishing.com? They look amazing to me but they are kind of expensive @ $25-$50 a pop. But the detail in the frogs is far and away the best I've seen. Oh and I have not tried them. I am having a hard time shelling out that kind of glue for something that may not come back to the boat.
  16. X2 I like mine in the BullFrog color. I haven't tried the hot feet line yet, but they may aggrivate more which could prove to be better as the temps cool. RageTail has the Rage Toad (I have not tried it yet) that is supposed to work well also.
  17. Well, I have to say that with the excepetion of the Zoom Trick worm (Drop Shot) and the Stanley Ribbit (Keel weighted frog hook), I throw RageTail products almost exclusively these days (when it comes to soft plastics). I have never seen action comparable to what the RageTail baits generate from any other soft plastic. In addition, I have never caught fish as consistently with any other BAIT for that matter. I swear by these things. I'm sure my confidence level with these baits is disallowing me to give some others a chance, but it works for me, and I recommend these baits to everyone I know. As a matter of fact my two closest fishing buddies (One is my brother in law) were strictly live bait fishermen until they saw me consistently out-fishing them in the same waters during the same period of time. Well needless to say, they rarely stop at the bait shop on the way out to the water anymore. Unfortunately my supply of RageTails has significantly dwindled since they made the leap :'( They gotta start keeping there own supply up! :
  18. Thanks, So am I safe to assume that any of the dinner plate shaped (not necessarily sized) type of sunfish are good eating?
  19. I fish Whitney Point Res fairly regular. As of late it has been absolutley terrible. I don't know if it's due to the high water levels or what. It's been bad for just about any species.
  20. Lake Katrine is a bit of a hike. But that doesn't mean I won't try it out. I think it's about a 3 hour drive from where I am. Thanks for the Idea.
  21. Thanks J I'll check that out. I really havent thought about the lil patch of land between Cortland and Utica.
  22. This is going to sound really stupid but........When you are talking about Blue Gill, does any "Sun Fish" apply? For example are pumpkin seeds just as good? Or do you mean only the Blue Gill Sunnies? Again, I'm sorry for the silly question, it's just in my neck of the woods the bulk of pan fish are of the pumpkin seed variety? Thanks
  23. Those are two knots that have a significantly higher failure rate than the palomar that I use with a #2 snap. Interesting. I suppose it makes sense, I use the palomer knot for almost every lure, or hook for that matter with the exception of cranks. I'll have to look into your method. Thank you
  24. Anyone fish the Cannonsville Reservoir in Upstate NY? How was your luck? I'd like to find some new places to fish within an hour's drive of Binghamton, NY. Now I'm not looking for your specific honey holes or anything like that, just some new bodies of water. I've fished the Finger Lakes and Oneida as well as Sandy Pond as far as the bigger lakes go. Now I want to look for some places maybe down into Delaware county or Chenango, Tioga among others. So the cannonsville reservoir look intriguing from the sky, have any of you had any luck there?
  25. You should tie directly to the bait, but you should use a perfection loop knot or a surgeons loop knot.
