  1. I dont catch too many fish but when i do i get pretty excited... ill yell all kinds of stuff...then you look stupid when you pull out a tiny fish
  2. thanks for the warm welcome guys and gals. Any of you ever fish the Bucks county area at all?
  3. welcome, Im new here myself, from Bucks county pa
  4. i just saw roadwarrior's post about the new NRX series Loomis rods...maybe wait and get a NRX893JWR, whats an extra 100 bucks when your already spending 350-400
  5. Thanks for all the replies guys! Ok im going with the avid AVC70MM for my crankbait rod. Been checking out both the BCR893 and the BCR803. I read the review of the BCR803 and it sounds like a great rod. Is there any other differences between the two besides one is 7' 5'' and the other 6' 8''? This is really going to be a dedicated worm rod so maybe the 893 is what i want? If you all have any other input before i click buy I would greatly appreciate it. Jay
  6. Hey guys i currently have one casting rod, its a St. Croix Triumph series 7' med/fast, with a Revo SX. I'm looking to get a crankbait rod (and for general treble hook use) and a nice worm rod. Im looking at the Avid AVC70MM possibly or the G.Loomis CBR853C GLX, Is it worth spending the extra money on the Loomis? Now for the worm rod...I've been fishing a lot of T-rigged senko's, fat ikas, and other rubber worms. I heard that you want a med/heavy power rod for making a good hookset, but not sure if a Med/Hvy power rod will throw these lighter baits. I was looking at a AVC70MHF the other day and it seems very stiff. If i went the Loomis route for my worm rod which would you recommend? I'm not sure i understand the difference in the jig&worm series and the senko series. Thanks guys
  7. Hi everyone! Been reading on this great site now for a couple of months and have learned a lot. I'm new to fishing and do not have many people to show me what to do so I rely on this site for info. Its been great so far and have landed some very nice largemouths. Look forward to learning more. Jay
