  5. I'm right handed and my bc are right handed and my spin is lh. Just how I learned to fish.... and as others have said, I cast with my right and switch before the bait has even hit the water! Caught my last 5lb+ last Sunday and the fish hit it as soon as it hit the water! Doesn't seem to hurt to much......
  6. If I were you, and I wanted a rod for worms/jigs and didn't want to break the bank, but still knew I wanted this to be my best/most sensitive rod, I would shoot for this Avid Casting Rod 7' Medium Heavy Taper Line Wt. Lure Wt. Guides Handle Type Handle Length Price Stock Qty Fast 12-20lb 3/8-1oz 9+Tip Avid Cast 2 Click to View 15-1/4" $190.00 Yes Avid Cast 2 AVC70MHF, Line Weight: 12-20 lbs. Fast Action. Great all around rod for just about anything you do. Great spinnerbait rod and you can really put the hook to big bass when you're casting Senkos, jigs and worms.
  7. WOW!! Just beautiful! Where is this, may I ask?
  8. Kent, I hope you are there as well! Who else is gonna take my pic? LOL Jeff
  9. Went fishing this a.m. with my normal Sunday fishing buddy. After breakfast, we headed to the pond, and we both had decided to try something a little different. I was throwing a Cavitron buzzbait, and he was throwing a Rage Tail Thumper. After nothing at our first stop we moved down the bank and on my 2nd cast there, literally inches in front of my feet as I was standing on the bank, bam had one miss it! Shortly afterwards had another miss and then all of the shad chasing and movement died down and the pond went slick...(see picture in everything else/pic of day) Birds-nested the heck out of my buzzbait rod, so I set it down, and picked up the old fav worm! Moved over a couple spots, caught a small one, kept moving to my favorite spot, and nothing much was going on! We were talking and as I cast out, not paying much attention, had a nice hit on the initial fall of my worm and missed it....darn! Moved around to a typically hard to get to spot, but since the water is so far down, I was able to walk around and on about the 5-6th cast BAM! I slow played him(?) in thinking it could be my "big bertha" I've been chasing, but shortly after it surfaced and I saw it was just a nice one! Landed it, took a pic, and successfully released another "picture" bass! Jeff
  10. +2. If 200 is a little high, try the Shimano Stradic FI! Thats what I currently have, and although I haven't fished it too much, I like it, and It will get put through the paces on Brown fish! Aint that right RW!!
