  1. Yep. It's the new boat. Rod holders done. Will send you pics to see if it is something we can do to your boat if you want. Jeff
  2. Now Dwight. RW catches big fish EVERY time he fishes. Seems the same with you. Now the young guns should be able to win once in a while.
  3. Nope. Honey hole is fed by the mighty Mississippi and it hasn't gotten high enough to get in there since last April. With all of the snow up north, I imagine it won't be too much longer before she fills back up!
  4. RW met me at my house this morning and we set out! Only a short drive to the boat ramp after some nice morning conversation and we launched! Got on the water as the sun was coming up (7ish) and didnt leave until 11 when the 20-30 mph winds with gusts of 40 that were predicted started up! In those 4 hours we managed at least a dozen fish a piece capped off by RW's 5 lb 13 oz, and my 5 lb 10 oz big fish of the day! Here are some pics for your enjoyment! RW's 5lb 13 oz PIG My 5lb 10 oz And another one of mine Great to get out on the water in February and have a great time with a friend! Can't wait till the ROAD TRIP!!!
  5. I own 2 and think you should give it a second chance as well! Jeff
  6. On its way to clyde! USPS tracking # 9405510200793327591486
  7. Know that it has to be deployed for the pedal to work, as it spins the entire head/shaft/ect! Make sure you are trying this with it deployed and not resting on the mount on the boat! Jeff
  8. OK! I have my pictures of takes and puts! Im pretty sure I'm putting much more than the takes! I'm not sure this intended to be this way, But this should not be a "take whats good and dump your junk in this box!" I have included some things that there were NONE of in this box for the rest of the people! There were 0 swim baits of any kind(minus flukes which i consider more of a soft jerkbait) I put in some of my favorite "less expensive" swimbaits! I use these 10:1 of the more expensive ones as I dont like loosing a $20 bait! There are a dozen 4" swimbaits, 8 3'' swimbaits and then another bag of 8 or so mixed swimbaits! Also I included a bag of Megastrike's new swimbaits, a bag of flukes, a bag of coffee tubes, a bag of chigger craws and a plano terminal tackle storage box! My takes were 5 used crankbaits, deeper divers! All of the products I places were BRAND NEW and never used! Some packs did have one or two missing... but mostly full! I hope that the remaining members on here can use what I have placed in here! Every lure I placed have caught me numerous fish and most have caught 4+ lb fish! I will try and get the package out this afternoon! Good luck to all, and I hope everyone catches many fish this year! Jeff
  9. Received package today! will be busy with Valentines day tonight, but will sort through, make my takes and puts hopefully tomorrow and get it back on its way soon! Jeff
  10. No fishing near you ARCH, but with warmer weather this week, and it not being busy, might have to try some small pond fishing this week! Jeff
  11. Very small hook, clasp weight and a bobber and catch a bream! LOL! Never gotten skunked that way!
  12. I would recommend the avid! I love all of mine! Jeff
  13. At our Bass Pro, They normally have several setups already rigged just sitting up there! Many times I have walked by and wanted to climb the stairs and try one out......
  14. X2. I don't own one, but have fished with rw's and that is one sweet reel. Really much better than my setup, but I don't have the extra to spring for it over my stradic. Jeff
  15. Addendum to my post: Bass Tackle Depot has a 20% off sale going on right now! That rod is now $80 and then you have $170 for a reel! Jeff
  16. I know of a Liquors store or 2 in town that are still open and will be tomorrow as well! Jeff
  17. Woohoo. Gettin close to my time. I got some good stuff so......
  18. How far off were you? Sounds like a mako! They are fast! If fishing around an oil rig...Big AJ? Could be a million things! LOL
  19. One of my favorite rods! I use mine almost exclusively for t-rigs! Jeff
  20. I might just not be as much of a reel snob as others, lol, but I think they fish about the same with the exception of the weight! But like I said, on the touch heavier rod than my core setup, its awesome! Plus its mainly for pitchin jigs and thats not as easily compared as my worm rod that I cast not pitch! Jeff
  21. I have 2 but they are basically the same thing! St Croix AVC70mhf paired with a Shimano core 50. The other is a St Croix AVC70hf paired with Shimano Curado 50. The extra weight of the h rod with the extra weight of the curado vs core just feel really good for some reason.... I dont understand it, but the more I fish with it, the more I like it! Maybe because its my Jig rod and I'm really becoming jig happy! Jeff
  22. I'll be 27 next Tuesday the 8th.
  23. This might help some! http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1141187546/0
  24. Went over to my club in Arkansas! Boat is coming along, not finished by any means, but with that pretty of weather, I couldn't resist! At that point all I had was back deck built and trolling motor mounted! As of now I have rod holders on order, and still haven't made up my mind about carpet/bed liner for the floors and such! Still waiting on the gas motor as well! Jeff
  25. Well its a really awesome shot otherwise! Wish I knew how to do something like that! Jeff
