most likely the liquid coming out of the bottom was a mixture of oil and anti-freeze/water. There are many areas of an engine where the water jackets are very close ( cylinder bores, intake/exhaust ports) and with a rod failure, be it bolt or bearing, things get slung around at such a high rate of speed, I speculate some broken part busted a hole in a water jacket and therefore you see oil/antifreeze/water mixture! Good luck and either try a popper, sammy or devils horse! It is apparent they will bite the topwater, but try a different presentation! Jef

Im interested on how you are catching such quality bass using live crawlers! Can you explain your setup on that to me as well. I have never fished for black bass using live bait, so I would be new to this all together! Jeff
