  1. I've just been to Bowling and Wanahoo so far. Caught a 5 and a few 2's out at Bowling, but no luck from the bank at Wanahoo yet.
  2. Yep, I've fished Wanahoo from the bank a couple times, but haven't really had any success yet. I've heard it has a bunch of healthy 3-5 lb fish though. Around Lincoln I've only had the chance to fish Bowling. I have had pretty good luck there so far.
  3. Nice man! I went there a couple times but never had any kind of luck. Good chunky fish. Definitely check out Southlake for sure. The fish I caught there were all on a chatterbait and shaky head worm in the summer. Sent you a message about another spot around that area too.
  4. Look up Southlake Boulevard on Google Maps. The pond is over by the DMV across the street from NAPA Nice! Where did you go on the James? Yes, the bridge at the back of "Loch Lothian" (seems weird for me to call it that now haha) used to have water on both sides of it. I used to fish back there a good bit.
  5. Any bass anglers around Lincoln? I just moved to Nebraska this year and haven't gotten to explore the lakes all that much yet. I'm usually busy with work and graduate school, but if possible I'd love to hit the water with anyone around here. I'd split gas and everything with anyone who has a boat for sure.
  6. Hey rvafishing, I used to live in Midlothian and fished it for a few years. It was basically drained a few years ago when they were doing all the construction and renamed it. It used to hold a few decent largemouth and some solid channel cats. I really haven't heard much at all about it since it was refilled, but I'm guessing it won't have too strong of a population yet unless they stocked it. I never heard if they did or not. Southlake is decent too, as WdyCrankbait said. I never caught many numbers there, but I caught a few in three trips there. All were between 2.5 and 5.5 pounds though.
  7. 6'10" MH Daiwa Cielo with a 6.4:1 Lew's Tournament MG spooled with 15 lb Big Game or Seaguar Red Label.
  8. Similar to my Cielo. Love that rod for these techniques
  9. 6'10'' MH Daiwa Cielo with 14-15 lb line handles all Chatterbait and most spinnerbait duties for me.
  10. Thanks. I guess I should have thrown the A rig in there haha. I could see a buzzbait working too. This will be my first time out there, so I'm just trying to look around a bit for some info beforehand. I've seen the Ozark/Missouri craw pattern in jigs before. Is that what most people have luck on out there?
  11. I just moved to Lincoln for grad school and definitely want to check out some of the places around here too.
  12. Any tips out there for fishing LOZ in mid-March? I know a lot will probably depend on the water temps, but I was thinking of rigging up a football and finesse jig, a Wart, jerkbait, Shad-Rap type crank, and a finesse worm. Maybe a deeper crank or spinnerbait too. I figure that will cover the bases pretty well, but just wanted to ask around.
  13. Man, I hate to read that. I live in Midlothian when I'm not at college or working, but I don't think I'll be back in town before he closes up shop. I always liked stopping in there though.
  14. This one has the charcoal blank with maroon wraps, but doesn't say Houston. Just wasn't sure where this one fit in.
  15. I just picked up an All Star SBR2 6'8" MH Zell Rowland spinnerbait rod at a yard sale for $20. It has "Made in USA" under the All Star logo.I've seen different things from people about whether or not these were the better quality ones made in Houston. I just wanted to ask for the story/age on this rod. Thanks
  16. I'm working around the Darien/Brunswick/Richmond Hill area this summer, and I was wondering about some good bass fishing spots. Someone told me about going up the Ogeechee River, but I don't know about much else around here. Thanks for any help
  17. Watch where you're going on the lake. Even if you're familiar with the lake, you can still be surprised by some of the trees and stumps. I haven't been able to go in quite a while. Good luck there!
  18. I have a 6'9" MH Duckett Ghost that I love for shaky heads, Senkos, grubs, and light T rigs. Paired with a Daiwa Aird spinning reel
  19. I've always done well there with Zoom Finesse Worms, Senkos, square bills, and spinnerbaits with some chartreuse in them. Good luck in your tournament there
  20. Anyone fished Kentucky Lake recently? I'll be going there this weekend, even with the cold weather haha
  21. Tcbass, do you use your Frog rod for other techniques? I'm considering either the Frog rod or the 7'6" H flipping. I already have a good frog rod, just wanted to see if the Tournament ZX frog rod is good with other baits too. Thanks.
  22. I have my Duckett Ghost spinning rod paired with a Daiwa Aird reel, they sell for about $90 and come with a spare spool.
  23. One of my best-producing techniques is a shaky head worm or craw, but I've wondered about using creature baits. I'm sure a big creature bait like a Brush Hog on a larger shaky head gives the bass a different look. Anyone had a lot of success rigging creature baits this way?
  24. jktim23113, have you fished the coal mine pond this year? I know it was drained last year during the construction, so I didn't think anything was really in it any longer.
  25. I almost always use a 1/8 shaky head no matter what brand I have tied on. As for the Megastrikes, I bought a few brown ones and they've been good.
