Ive had excellent results from my Pinnacle reel. Deadbolt Classic I bought it in '03 for $70 and never one bit of trouble out if it. Give the handle a spin and it rotates a good 40 times or so. Its worn beaten and scarred. Left on top of my car driving 45mph down the road and hear something and see in rearview mirror my rod/reel scraping across the road into the curb DOH!! Was my only bc I used for 7 years, still used as my jig and spoon reel now. Totally exceded my expectations cant say that of my newer bc purchases.
If you mean for being able to cast into the wind something like a lipless crankbait SK Red Eye Shad casts well and catches them. A spinnerbait like 3/4oz would be a good choice as well.
This is what I like to do as well. One, I think you actually get better than used price and two, get warranty with the product.
Some of my purchases this year; New discounted rods. St Croix Legend Elite reg $330 got it for $130; LTB new $230 got it for $115; Shimano Cumara new $240 got it for $104. Lifetime warranties on all. Got a CAMO stick reg $140 for $30. Curado 50E new I got for $100. I havent seen any of these used asking for less than I paid.
I have this on my 360 connects to the back has 2 fans with a sensor. Myself along with 2 sons keep the 360 on constantly, never an issue. It was like $10.
Couple weeks ago got BPS The Strike fishing game,Halo 4, Assassin's Creed 3 and just got Forza Horizon set for a while.
If you dont mind or would like to try micro-guides look at Quantum Smoke rod very light, balanced, sensitive rod in 7' Med Fast. I had the like feature in a veritas and the Smoke bettered it in these areas.
I tend to go lighter power from what is concidered the "norm" like ML Moderate with senkos or ML XF with Fat Ikas. Just seem to enjoy the fight more than with my stronger more expensive rod in M to MH.
Looks like you are set and have a broad range covered just need to get Ikas or Palm Trees in that box
How precise are the Boca?? I looked for info and seems they only go in increments of 1/4pound thats 4oz. From description of Boca off BPS "15-lb. model weighs in 1/4-lb. increments and 30- and 60-lb. models weigh in 1/2-lb. increments". So they arent going to give 4.12 or 5.06 or 2.73 readings or 3# 3oz, 6# 2oz. You are going to be guessing between 4-1/4 and 4-1/2.
Here its $220 with electric pump free shipping

The hard vs inflate well cant help there thats personal choice. Just google there are better prices than BPS
I have a Sea Eagle boat and its worked out very well for me quite pleased with it. The material of mine(38mil) is thicker than the kayak(33mil) one so cant say for sure how it is but mine is fine after three years and many outings. With the sample they sent me I took a lighter and put the flame on it for 10 seconds and it held didnt melt through very surprised tried a key and a pen to poke it while co-worker held it couldnt put a hole in it.
I have a stradic 1000fi on a St Croix Avid 8' ML Mod rod this set-up does perch, gills, crappie, bass, cats. Tiny cranks SK bitsy minnows to 5' senkos. Sensitivity is awesome and 3.6ozs. The 8' length really helps the distance too plus reach over brush and stuff.
Here some catches with it
Another pro Skeet Reese has a crankbait casting distance video. Couple of set-ups and 8' poles 1oz cranks 12# line 50-55yds

I like Nano as well 6#. Great sensitivity, no stretch, line management, distance. It has cons too but so do most other lines. It just has a place for me in certain situations, another tool.
I made my own tool as well. I use 2 rings at a time to get the hook 90degrees to worm. Cross one ring over the other to make an x then hook in beteen. Yeah try Grainger or Fastenal not Menards Home Depot or fishing stores for rings.
I would have got it if I didnt get LTB MLXF a little while ago. Read good reviews of them. 51E should pair nicely. I have 50E on LTB at times and 1/4-3/8oz works great.
Cabelas has a Dodbyns Champion 702C MF for $150 in their bargain cave

Another in that price range that I have is a Quantum Smoke rod 7' MF its 3.4oz better balance than my Croix rods and very good sensitivity think mine is like $130 at TW $100 at flea-bay. I toss 1.0 squarebills with ease those are like 1/4oz and 5"senkos. Its definitely better than my Premier and I have Avid, LTB and L Elite and have no hesitation in recommending the Smoke rod.
Oh dont know about Quantum service but Croix is top-notch broke my Avid 3 times each time with-in a week taken care of but live few hours from them.
Yes that has happened to me with my Smoke rod. but not all the time. Dont know why but one outing it happened 3-4 times in a couple hours then the next outing it the same thick slop spot didnt happen at all. The build-up wasnt all that bad just the tip mostly and a quick couple pinches its gone.
Well saying it casts a mile doesnt actually help much. Ill say for me I would get 100-120feet out of a 1/4oz jig with a baby ragetail craw using my 50E and 7' MF Smoke rod. Im not saying others cant get farther but think that is more reasonable than 5,280feet. I would have it set with one or two brakes 2 when the wind is up(most of the time).
The veritas has 2pc models 6'6" MF, 6'9" MH F
