  1. X7 on the Cronarch CI4 Lightweight, excellent casting, you can get 96mm handle for just $13. If not in a hurry Gander Mountain runs get $50 off $250 spent most holidays. Then add the GMT10 code for $10 more off and you pay $210
  2. To mention more about the LTB like Goose has about the lower range The LTB 6'9" ML/XF casting I feel doesnt work all that well with say a small crank like Bitsy Minnow that weighs .0823 ounces. It doesnt load in the tip well and distance control suffers for me. Yeah the BM is under the LTB load rating but I do better with a 7' M/F Smoke rod thats only rated down to 1/4. Im not recommending the smoke just comparing my personal findings of the LTB weakness at the lighter end.

  7. Cause I can Avatar pic was with 10#PP and spro frog from here about 75' out brought it over that fallen tree branch too. Pretty much in the center of the pic you can see hole and the trail to the right where it was brought in.
  8. The core even with just one brake on, the red one, has too much braking. This why people think it works so well it sort of spoiled people thats not a bad thing though. The SVS can be set for very light braking making it a better system for those that can take advantage of it or learn to.
  9. I have used 20# PPs8S and 832 on mine. CI4+ has a single brake system NON magnetic its centrifugal only & that dial adjusts the pipe closer/farther from the brake tabs. Ive noticed that this reel is very fast compared to my other older vbs shimano reels core and 50E's. The faster spool will bring out any dig issue more than the slower spool that you may be accustomed to.This faster feeling can get you when you have the tension too loose. Having the tension too loose causes some slop in the spool and can cause spool(brake tabs attatched to spool) to move away slightly from the pipe causing less braking momentarily. If you are lightly braked to begin with this will be more of an issue. So Id say check the spool tension for side to side play minimize it.
  10. Ive used 10# PP with bc gear frog fishing slop pretty good hooksets never have snapped the line. I havent set into any "big" fish though 4# and under. With 10+ years with 10#PP on spinning & bc no snap offs on hook sets.
  11. X2 on DSG, yesterday got BOGO packs of 6" senkos so basically $3.24 a pack .
  12. I see now they have buy one get one free on clearance items. Got 12 packs of 6" watermelon senkos Never have used 6" senkos but a sale is a sale.
  13. Where I use to work there was a very attractive 21y/o Asian lady and no way no how could I ask her out face to face. I asked the other guys about her and they told me to not even bother. Well I wrote her a note asking her if she would like to go shopping with me to find a Christmas present for my mother. I put the note on her desk and went to lunch. Got back from lunch and the note was on my desk. Im thinking that was quick reply so figured it was a no. To my astonishment she said yes would like to go and to call her after work to set time and gave me her number I made the mistake of picking a mall(Woodfield) that was about an hour away thinking she might like to shop as well. We only said about 7 words to each other the whole way there and that was when I first picked her up. Hi how you doing-Fine-Thats good. Once in the mall I asked if there any stores she wanted to go to? No Im good is all I got from her. So I got the Holiday Barbie that my mother collected for years and we left came back home and again not a word was said until I dropped her off. She says call me you get home so I know you home safely? Im thinking man we just spent nearly 2hrs together without a word being said now she wants me to call her again. Well I called her let her know Im fine and she asks me why we didnt go eat any place. I said- I asked you to go shopping not out to eat so I didnt want to make you do something we didnt plan. Sooo I asked her if she would like to go out to eat tomorrow and she said yes... Been together now for 22 years all stemming from that little note.

  15. Googled- no fish no pay https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&es_th=1&ie=UTF-8#q=fishing%20guide%20no%20fish%20no%20pay Sounds like an issue that should be known before trip/ booking
  16. Ive had a bad run getting RES that wont track straight on anything but a moderate pace. Try to burn them or go even a bit fast and to the left or right they go.
  17. Here they test a Scorp XT stock vs upgrade. http://www.bocabearings.com/dropin.aspx?f=Do-BOCA-BEARINGS-really-make-a-difference.txt&utm_source=BB_site&utm_medium=link&utm_campaign=BB_make_difference If you can easily use just one brake light tension and looking for more, upgrade. If you need more than one brake, as is, dont upgrade. Also get the lightest brake pin. To me 2 brakes or more chokes the performance too much to notice upgrade benefits.
  18. I use both and the Ika catches more fish. Ika falls faster a little tougher casts better. Hydra and its skirt is more fluid jellyfish like when twitched falls slower. Hydra isnt as tough where the skirt meets the body this area tears easily(ika not all that much better though), hydra body seems to hold-up better. The Hydra body doesnt degrade, start to decompose, like the Ika body does with prolonged use. The skirt of the Hydra takes the use of JJ's Magic better for coloring, Ika skirt not so much. I use both will continue to use both side by side just think the faster falling of the Ika gets it more reaction bites darts off bottom better with pop quick twitch. Hydra slight edge in attracting pike. Being the skirt lasts longer on the Ika and the body lasts longer on the Hydra I will combine these pieces to make a Hydrika A similar bait to these to also check out is the Keitech Salty Core tube more of an actual tube shape but solid like ika/hydra.
  19. I have clear /black flake senko and clear BPS stik-o that are like the fluke but dont think as clear as Numbs.
  20. Favorite rod I use with wacky senkos is 8' Medium light moderate with 10# braid. I would say my hook-up % is excellent. I dont/havent use octopus hooks though and read that they need a different style of hook set. I do rig my hook so its perpendicular to the senko and feel this helps get the hook exposed a bit so if they take it broadside they bite down on the hook, just my take.
  21. I weighed a couple brake colors I use. Weight is for one brake each. BNT3048 Smoke weighs .012 grams BNT1715 Red weighs .017 grams
  22. Gander code LABORDAY14 gives $50 off $250 spent Chronarch CI4+ for $220 after $50 off $270 http://www.gandermountain.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?pdesc=Shimano-Chronarch-CI4-Low-Profile-Baitcasting-Reel-CH150CI4HG&i=757812
  23. CI4 handle cap fits/swaps over nothing else to buy Well if you want to add another bearing per knob would be a good time to do so, purchase them at the same time.
  24. Those of you that own the Chronarch CI4 and wanting a low cost longer handle check out the Metanium XG handle. The MET XG handle p#4827 is 96mm compared to the stock CI4 84mm hamdle. The XG handle only costs $12.84.
