  1. 4 brakes on a CHE you should be able to fish blindfolded straight into a 30mph wind without issue.
  2. Bank sight fishing I use nightcrawler on #4 hook
  3. Nice catches Scott I never get to fish at night most parks around me close at sunset or 10pm unless you camp all night.
  4. Some reports of grooving have come from NON-braid use. To me if it were to happen it would be caused by long constant retrieves like lipless cranks spinnerbaits with thinner lines more than with say flipping thick heavy braid. With new braid I did see two spots on the wing at the points of the W and I thought oh no grooves but it turned out to be just the coating built up and it wiped away.
  5. Get the length you want. There wont be huge differences at all. I use mostly 7'+ and dont notice any accuracy gains going down to my sub 7' rods. The length gains from 6'6" to 7' isnt great either. Most people say they fish within 100' even my 4'6" rod can get that distance. Even cranks unless you go to 7'6" or 8' is where noticeable gains kick in.
  6. Its basically for fine tuning I feel most noticeable with just one brake on internal. Then when you go adjusting the dial you notice it doing its thing.
  7. Allow the market to determine the value sounds good to me. Basically price fixing an item MAP not allowing it to be sold but at a certain most often higher price doest make that item any better.
  8. Curado I is $150 at Dicks sporting goods BPS should price match them. They might??match TW for $140
  9. The stretch of mono/fluoro is extremely noticeable and not just on hookset. Dragging a jig or IKA along the bottom needs much more effort to bring back through weeds. Its like pull /stretch pull/stretch bait moves a bit finally. This gets irritating after a while having been accustomed to the more efficient use of braid. Even with trokar or owner hooks getting decent hookset past 50' in 20+ fow is hindered quite a bit with stretchy lines.
  10. Depends on the the specific rod. My Quantum Smoke rod is rated 1/4-3/4oz is Medium/Fast. I throw 1/8oz spinnerbaits up to 3/4oz lipless cranks.
  11. Yep have experienced this a few times. Ill toss a nightcrawler to a bass and it will inhale it swim about 25'-30' away and spit out the crawler, go back to bed. I specifically showed my son this one day.
  12. Just put 8# green nano on my reel after having used 6# white nano for a few years. I really like the line casts great very good sensitivity and line management. I tried my knot(I dont use nano knot) out with the 8# and was just able to get a 12# anchor to move a bit til knot broke. So 12# strength with 8# nano for me. This rated better than Kanzen 15# braid that I have, Kanzen gave way with the same knot at 9-11# repeatedly. And yes keep it away from rocks.
  13. They are on sale at another big dealer for $130 still
  14. no no no no no no no cant use 20# braid on a bc reel no no no no no just cant.
  15. Can get that distance with just a tube, 4" YUM tube 4/0 trokar ewg hook.
  16. Usually on TW a sale price is in red but the price on the "I" shows as it would for regular prices. Maybe the Tatula being sold at "market" price(along with its performance) is taking a big bite out of the CUI sales.
  17. And Shimano Daiwa have products made in China as well so when you buy a Shimano Daiwa product be it Japan Malaysian Thailand you keep their businesses going as a whole, thus supporting China.
  18. X3 on this My bright yellow shirts seem to be an attractant clear water sunny days
  19. Camera Canon SD800is small point&shoot Thank You
  20. GREAT CATCH BigBlock
  21. My first outing water still very cool water very clear using straight braid caught this one. Presentation long pause wiggle repeat.. Few other fishermen said they had no luck dont know the line they used though.
  22. I like the Salty Core Tubes. I like solid body tubes in general like Fat Ikas Kinami Palm Trees and Damiki Hydras.
  23. You have to be at the right place at the right time. Like those of us that got the $42 Shimano Crucial rods at DSG
  24. Got my license yesterday and headed out. A bit windy but kept it to my back. I managed a 2.7# bass
