  1. you get a free Halo figure with purchase of HALO rod.
  2. Bluegill Flash gets my vote and money I use in clear water gravel pits but they are heavily pressured
  3. I used their salty core tubes a couple years before trying the swimbaits. The tube is solid like a Fat Ika or Damiki Hydra but more firm not as squishy. I rig it backwards too like I do the others. Sticks Ive used 4.5" & 5.5"wacky with good results but if had to choose, a senko would be my 1st choice.
  4. Yeah the CI4 isnt a smallish reel at all just light for its size and well proportioned unlike say the tatula.
  5. Over 10 years fishing yamamoto plastics(senko 3-4-5-6", ikas, swimkos, flappin hog) biggest fish 4# 3 months fishing Keitech Swing Impact Fat 6+# Keitech has consistently caught me more fish in a day and they avg bigger size as well. 3 of the 5 main lakes I fish the SIF has my PB numbers wise in a days outing. I still really really like fat ikas and go to them when the Keitechs arent working but the Keitechs have proven themselves to me.
  6. You want a strong rod for setting the hook and getting the fish out of bad spots weight wise here are what some weigh. 7. Secret Weapon Lure spinnerbaits are my favorite and has one of the highest ratings ever on tackle tour product review.
  8. Dont have an X but do have crucial avid ltb cumaras and in the msrp range the Okuma Helios compares favorably well and betters some (weight, balance). And the Helios can be bought for around $140(walmart) for a MH/F 7' 3.5ounce rod making it all that more a bang for the buck. It has micro guides if that is a concern though. You didnt mention power/action the MH/F rated to 1oz so if not needed the M/F is rated to 5/8oz and a little lighter in weight. The tip of the Helios is a bit crisper than what the X's have that Ive looked at getting.
  9. Bought a tatula bb1 pro and chronarch ci4 at the same time. The BB1 pro was a disappointment for me with quality/durability issues that caused me to return it. One standout was the sideplates paint just felt like cheap plastic if that makes sense. For the time I had it that it was working it didnt impress me all that much. It wasnt the best caster distance wise for any range of weight but lacked the most tossing under 3/8ounce stuff. The ci4 shined over it with lower weights and out distanced it higher weights up to 3/4oz. The one good point of the Pro was its smoothness.
  10. I saw those?? at gander mountain few days ago. Look page 7 of their product catalog or not the ones you mentioning. http://www.yakimabait.com/press-media/catalog-download/
  11. that way is easier I.rar thanks
  12. Yes you can
  13. Im just a noob when it comes to stocked trout, caught my first last week, that being said. Three of us were using in-line spinners Mepps size 1&2, Wordens Roostertails 1/8 &1/6 sizes. We were catching them left and right multiple days different stocked lakes. Here is my very first one I ever caught and the in-line in its mouth used Stradic 1000, SC Avid 8' ML/M rod 8# nanofil
  14. I see it no differently than posting on websites free publicity recommending whatever brand rod/reel/line/lure you like and paid for the privilege to use. This actually has more benefit than a person buying a shirt. You are being an ad for the company both ways not getting paid but shelling out the dough.
  15. Ive returned 4 rods in the past month just know the return policy before you purchase. Crooked guide returned in heartbeat not keeping it.
  16. Mine did the same when trying to post/paste from host site picturetrail.com never had issue before
  17. What am I doing incorrectly for posting picture. http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1821/10964810/20789210/412256837.jpg[/IMG] This is what I paste but without the space after the [ [ IMG]http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1821/10964810/20789210/412256837.jpg[/IMG]
  18. Bass Resource jersey you can add on to. http://fishing.rayjus.com/create_products/Bass-Resource?n=37562137
  19. I caught my first ever trouts
  20. My perfect pair of sunglasses would have the Costa 580G Blue mirror lens attached to Oakley Pit bull frame.
  21. yeah when I read his post it sounded like his voice in my head.
  22. All depends on the size of the boat. I towed a 14 jon boat with 88 Escort for 5 years no issues.
  23. Super8Slick 20# is quieter stronger and costs less than 30# smackdown. I like both though and bought 40# Smackdown and 30# S8S. I also bought some 30# GAMMA Torque braid(good deal at fishing show w/hat) to try out it is more limp than both, falls straight off the spool not curled like Smack or S8S new. Its clearly not as smooth though.
  24. With smackdown go by dia. Smackdown 30 is not as strong or is equal to others 20 when dia is the same. Smackdown is my 2nd favorite (due to noise level-price)braid but havent tried samurai.
  25. As they come out of the package. The description says they are lubed with alchemy oil. It must be very little as I didnt really notice any on the bearings when putting them in. " they are filled up with the "Alchemy Oil" developed only for the bearing, and are shipped "
