  1. WOW WOOO HOOO CAVS WON. Dont really care that they are winners but glad GS lost. Now the BULLS still have the best complete season even with one less regular season win. Bulls finished 95-96 72-10 season with a championship, GS 73-9 ended in a resounding flop. Bulls 76-12 championship* GS 76-13 no championship So yeah thanks cavs.
  2. Ive sealed the CAVS fate by WANTING them to win. Yep as much as I hate it I want the CAVS to win. So you GS fans
  3. Went to Shabbona today, it owned me, only a little bass after 4hours so took off from there and headed to a tollway pond in Rochelle did better with 8 bass and a nice 4-10 catfish in 2hours. Shab bass Tollway fish Oh and here is one from couple days ago at Four Lakes Winnebago Co.
  4. Ive seen them on sale for $199 couple weeks ago at DSG
  5. If its rougher something is wrong. Ive tried a bunch of braid and s8s is the quietest and very smooth compared to others. Its my favorite at the moment but Iv been trying out GAMMA Torque and this stuff is pretty nice not as quiet as s8s but strong and tight weave and more subtle.
  6. Any info on the acuity a bass actually sees??? One article Ive read a Berkley research scientist states they dont see very well at all. They can see only about 50' and the acuity is about 10% of humans, they have to get really close to object to see it well. Any other info thoughts on this?
  7. I reelly like the Trokar Boxer Jig for my swimbaits a 4.8" sif is pictured. Super sharp and sticks them easily. It has forward spikes top and bottom to hold the swimbait on. I like the spikes better than the round holder on a regular jig likely the type you are having difficulties with. Of course this is used in more open water spots but it actually goes through weeds ok'ish
  8. Yes it does matter at this point, before this point, and in the future. There are people that dont believe certain others should live cause of a lifestyle, shouldnt sweep it under the rug so we dont hurt their feeling.
  9. They were killed/injured due to the lifestyle they chose/choose to lead that conflicts with the beliefs/ideology of the Radical Islam perp.
  10. At first I let it fall almost to the bottom cause Im in 20fow a lot and quite often get hit on the fall. If that tactic isnt producing a slow speed is what I like and I bought a lower gear ratio(5.8:1, 23.6ipt ) reel specifically fot that use.
  11. A curado 50e can toss 3" BPS stik-o fairly well and those(mine i weighed) weigh .12292oz. Ive used it to throw Bitsy Minnow cranks that weigh .0823oz around 35'-40' with 10# braid. This was with a non-finesse rod Quantum Smoke7' M/F lure rating of 1/4-3/4.
  12. The best kind
  13. Well for 40 miles around me there are like 50+ places that sell oakley costa but no smith dealers, that could be one reason. Its difficult enough finding a pair that fits well even with the selection around me. Going to be very unlikely that I purchase glasses without trying on first. Heck even 3-4 pairs of the same model can all fit differently.
  14. I wouldnt get MAINLINK for fishing those are more of a "style" frame. Look at TURBINE ROTOR those wrap more around your eyes or regular TURBINES also BATWOLF even JAWBREAKERS.
  15. The frame ($70) is out of stock til nearly August so hopefully Shimano can help some other way.
  16. An underspin jig rigged with one works well
  17. Got out early today but the bass didnt want any breakfast, zero bass 8-12. They waited til lunch time to start feeding, from 12-3 caught 14 bass This was the biggest And a crappie
  18. My senko set up I use nanofil. Casts better than braid fc. Those long casts, you can get with a senko100+', hooksets hook ups better than lower test fc. When Im dragging moving senko along bottom its the most sensitive live between the three types. Plus on the bottom more weeds to deal with and the no stretch makes it more efficient working the senko through those weeds.
  19. Here of pic of the 4/0 DeepThroat hook VMC Fast Grip 4/0 Wide Gap Also along with the Hydra mentioned, Keitech has a solid bodied tube
  20. bass trout panfish pike have all hit an in-line spinner such as mepps never caught a cat with one. Ice out to mid summer to ice on
  21. Yeah Im running 16# Sniper FC going below 8 of 20 clicks the need for thumbing seems to get in the way of distance. The line unloads on the spool too much, I dont use line conditioner and I also have Hedgehog ceramic bearings in mine so the spool spins more freely. I have a Tatula also and though it doesnt behave as well as the SV spool never had issues with line snapping. I have used 15# & 40# braid with it, havent used FC so cant comment on how that would work.
  22. I have Daiwa SV105P its not backlash proof but does very well. There are 20 clicks for the brake adjustment. From 0-8 you're going to need thumb and be more mindful on your cast. 9-12 seems the sweet spot for distance control will get slight fluffing but works out on its own. 13-20 is mostly thumb free casting no worries but at the cost of distance. These settings are for most lures, going to like lipless cranks that cast much more easily can adjust setting a few clicks lower usually. For fluorocarbon I wont go under 8 on the dial and with braid, which is more manageable, I can go down to 2.
  23. The waters you fish very clear? If so One thing I do while sight fishing cruising bass is throw ahead of them, a good 20' or so, let ika settle to bottom then right as I see the bass get almost above ika thats when I give the ika a little pop or shake to try and get reaction strike.
  24. Only used 4 strand 20# and didnt like it, the noisiest braid Ive used.
