  1. Ill be throwing inline spinners and ned rig and hair jigs.
  2. Gulp Alive 1" minnow and small jig head 1/124 or 1/80
  3. I have 20# 832 and let the line loose on the water for over a minute and line was still floating. Its ok line but for its price would choose a couple other lines ahead of it.
  4. http://www.hedgehog-studio.co.jp/product/2654 http://japantackle.com/tuning-parts/shimano-yumeya-chronarch-ci4-shallow-spool.html And some BLING parts http://www.hedgehog-studio.co.jp/page/68
  5. That part 24 is pressure fit it may have come loose look at this vid
  6. If the spool is turning the inductor should be turning with the spool. If you can get the inductor to spin(it will move slightly like 1/8 of an inch thats normal) and the spool is still stationary you have an issue.
  7. It comes with 4. All you need is 1 so actually you have 3 spares
  8. Got a new Daiwa T3 for ok price 25% off clearance and used up my giftcards that some have been lying around for 2 years.
  9. The only Lews I can reference is the BB1 Pro that I had. I bought Pro and a Tatula and Chronarch CI4 all at the same time. The BB1 Pro was the smoothest of the 3. All my shimanos seem to have a hint to some degree of geary feel, even my new 70. I think what you could be feeling is normal vs your Lews.
  10. I agree cause I just dont see much advantage that a more expensive spinning reel gives me. I have President, Daiwa Rg-AB, 2 Supreme XT's, and had/have a few Shimano Stradics. I bought the Stradics and XT's first then bought a President. The higher $$ reels dont get me more distance or more durability I had to return a couple Stradics for bail/rotor issues. The bail on the President is still solid while the bail on my Stradic became worn/loose. I now cant justify (to myself) buying the Stradics or XT's again unless I find them for 50%+ off. Thats why when wanting another spinning reel I went with the $50 RG-AB to see how it stacks up to the Pres.
  11. I have 2 Helios rods a Medium and Medium Heavy and think they are very good rods. Havent used Loomis IMX or above so cant say they are better. I do have a few upper end St Croixs and feel my Helios rods perform/feel better than my LTB(6'9"ML/XF) rod but not Legend Elite. I know walmart has Helios rods for less than msrp making for an even better value. The 7'6" XH/F is $140ish the Medium Fast is just $107.
  12. Use ned rig with baitcaster Use braid with crankbaits/all lures Use 10-15-20 test braid on baitcasters Run straight braid no leader even in very clear waters I eat bananas on a boat
  13. How would one fair with heavy current or just at the edge of like an eddy or back wash? I was thinking of going to a river just below old dam and throw into the rough current maybe let it flow a few feet then work it to calmer section. Smallmouths and walleye are the targets and its a rocky bottom.
  14. Keep nanofil away from rocks and teeth just like is needed with braid. Dont use the knot(double palomar) Berkley recommends its not very good with the line. If not using a leader retie your knot after about 5 fish.
  15. Picked up some lures bogo free at fishing show and also bought a 90mm Zillion handle and ZPi Sic bearings Molix Sculpo cranks Molix RA shad paddle tail Nories Spoon tail shad
  16. I bought a few Molix lures at a fishing show last week BOGO so wasnt that bad a price.A couple cranks Sculpo MR and 2 packs of the RA Shad paddletails
  17. AHH you got me to look on this one and ordered a reel to use up all of my accumulated gift cards finally. And an extra surprise they had 25% off the clearance reel I bought.
  18. With the knot I mentioned 6# nanofil holds to 9pounds and my .006 8# nanofil holds to 12pounds thats very good knot strength for any line. For a comparison my .006 15# test Kanzen braid breaks at 11pounds. My 40# Gliss breaks at 24# waaaay less than rated. Im quite confident in my knot I use with nanofil. I use many many different brands/types of line if nano didnt perform for me I wouldnt continue to use it.
  19. When you tie the uni knot--- first double the line over about a foot---then pass line through eye of hook twice--now tie a 6 turn uni knot---wet line cinch. This knot is waaaay better than the suggested nanoknot/double palomar.
  20. I went to show today one place Anglers Int Resources had some BOGO offers I got some Molix lures. That Ike guy gave me a headache screeching most of the time could have been the poor audio they had not very clear. Daiwa didnt have the new Tat SV that I was hoping to check out.
  21. BLASPHEMY you speak
  22. Yes has happened to me on smaller 3.8" fats. Correction it was with straight shank hook that the fat kept rolling
  23. I dont have any unconditional loyalties to any brand they dont pay me enough. What I take a liking to I will buy. Dont think any one brand can cover all areas.
  24. Run some tests. Tie your connection knot and tie leader to hook, soak line in cup for 5 minutes, now place hook around something secure and pull on line til the line the connection knot or hook knot breaks. Do it a couple times to see if its the same result.
