  1. I like and use 2.5,3.5,4.25 After seeing too many get flung off went with this spring lock type hook works very well 4.25 with 5/0
  2. I know you said new but you can get very good/mint condition used Poison Adrena in the price range. I got one 6'10" spinning it was such great shape didn't hesitate to purchase the 7'2 medium casting and it seems brand new. https://www.americanlegacyfishing.com/used/shopby/casting-poison_adrena.html
  3. Got me a PB crappie close to 17" and 2#4oz Byproduct bass fishing using 1/2oz chatterbait zako trailer
  4. Just bought this so newest favorite Swamp Lord nice soft body but one hook dull had to sharpen.
  5. Check the hook points had more than my share of very dull hooks on dark sleepers not what is expected of the name megabass.
  6. Use braid for sure and tiny jig hook 1/124 or 1/80 and 1" gulp alive minnow
  7. If u live near Rockford Il you more than welcome to try my 893nrx
  8. I just prefer longer rods. Might get longer distance can reach over around brush on shore. Longer rod could have a bit more flex in the tip section to keep runs by fish at bay. Longer rod though may get in the way if around trees and accuaracy hindered some would say. Reel wise 200 if Lews is sized like a daiwa, haven't used a Lews spinner but description of it seems nice.
  9. I'd get the 7'6" medium light offering and use 10# braid.
  10. My coworker that I mention sent in a Daiwa Airity to i_fish that recently was in a few videos
  11. I currently use a Poison Adrena for gills and crappie. Put on some 5# Varivas braid and throw 1/124 jighead and 1' gulp minnow fairly good distance for the weight. Super sensitive and there is an UL model, I have the ML.
  12. Coworker just got a daiwa presso air ags rod it very nice
  13. So you know for certain that Shimano makes the best baitcasters.
  14. No issue with the guides on mine other than a couple a bit crooked. Then again don't really use it.
  15. I think I've seen for certain bfs shallow spools the use of stretchy lines fc or mono is restricted- braid only. There a chance it could cause deformation cause the spool so thin and the fc tightens after being stretched.
  16. Bought this braid for BFS but this line is much thinner than expected will try it on spinning first
  17. If you get a good one and not a dud (I got 2 duds tour and smoke s3) then its worth 1/2 off. They both have this noise. Listen closely at the end for the ducks reply I did however manage to fix the spool vibration loud noise issue.
  18. Bought 5/0 for 4.5" yamatanuki not sure if they have new coating
  19. Gave my BFS setup(T3 5g spool 8# braid) quite the workout. The rod tip is rate down to .6gram so it was bending quite a bit. Overall handled it nicely.
