  1. There are also people that use their fingers to rotate the handle with the star drag while at same time holding the rod to take up slight amounts of line fine motor skills at use and doing this is easier with dominant hand.
  2. You are assuming every person palms a reel but you are wrong. Palming a reel to me isnt as ergonomic a position as holding the rod in the reelseat area. I cast and continue to reel in same position. Your fine/gross explanation is flawed cause you rationalize it to fit your narrative. I can rationalize it the other way. Twitching a rod can use fine motor skills as well like having tight line and just squeezing fingertips to twitch the rod/line slightly or slight wrist movements to move shake line and not just your whole arm in making a cast. Id say most of my rod movement during a retrieve is made starting at the wrist area while the forearm remains relatively still. -- I realize there isnt a one size fits all but it is a little annoying watching fishing videos and seeing the fisherman switching hands constantly all that wasted effort just glad thats not my style. To that person though its natural and they dont think twice about it.
  3. I have sniper fc with 3 seasons on it. I in the winter put the line back on the package spool and put it back on reel come ice out.
  4. I just received my demo NRX893 from the hook up tackle and it looks like the bottom picture with description label. Thought the resin swap was back in 2013-2014
  5. I swear I get more weeds on the weedless shroomz than the regular ones.
  6. The Zman shroomz jigheads rust quickly and snap. With other brands I use 1 and 1/0 dont notice a difference in hook ups or fish getting off.
  7. Digitaka is a good place to purchase plus it has free shipping usually less than Japan Lure Shop where you are charged a fair amount for shipping around $18.
  8. Wrong there too. Just bought the wife a 2+ carat diamond from a locally owned shop that I have bought from in the past. Did I pay his asking price no did I pay my lowest offer no we met in between and Im sure he still made money cause he let us pick out a platinum band for free. And no its not my problem if a place local or online cant offer the best price.
  9. So you dont try to take the most tax deductions for your business. You dont deduct salaries wages labor rent supplies taxes utilities insurance. You sure can help the economy if you dont. Helping the economy doesnt necessitate throwing your money away.
  10. If you want to pay full price for everything go ahead and waste your money. Me Ill wait for a sale when waiting allows. This approach has saved me thousands$$$ over time.
  11. A fool and his money are soon parted. Pretty smart to wait for a sale that will save $50 I say.
  12. Funny how that works out my favorite rods arent my most expensive high end either. Just cause something has a high price tag doesnt mean every person will like it. Casting--My gen1 Quantum Smoke 7' M/F is my favorite rod and used mostly for Ikas and 3.8" Keitech paddle tails. Spinning--St Croix Avid 8' ML/Mod this I use mostly with senkos and 2.8" paddle tails. I dont think one person would say this moderate action rod would be a good senko rod but it suits me perfectly and I prefer it over my Legend Elite M/F.
  13. No issues ever using 10% ethanol in any engine I owned/own. 20yo gas trimmer still buzzing along 15yo Pilot going strong 10yo snow blower first pull start.
  14. If you have capable baitcasters use #3 size in-line spinners those produce very well for stock trout. Most #3 size are usually 1/4oz. The Blue Fox Vibrax Bullet though you can get #2 size that is 1/4oz and the #3 size is 3/8oz. So a littlle more weight with smaller blade size.
  15. #16 Sniper FC hits my sweet spot.
  16. I have the Cumara 7'6" ML/MF casting, not too fond of the rod myself prefer my gen 1 Smoke rods and Helios rods to it. But have found a purpose for it and that is ned rigs small spinnerbaits. Wouldnt buy this model again even at $100.
  17. There are a few ways cent brakes get adjusted depends on the specific reel.
  18. My 8' ML Avid spinning is spot on for small spinnerbaits but baitcasters can fling Pond Magics pretty easily. I prefer the Strike King Rocket Shads. All sizes are compact and even the 1/2oz size is dimensionally very close to Pond Magic size.
  19. Dont care for them in EWG form for like Ikas. Boxing Glove is an awesome swimbait jig head hook for keitechs. The distance a person can get with 1/4ounce jighead and a 3.8"-4.3" that sharp point makes for confident hook sets past 120 feet and 20+ feet of water. The newer ned head is great as well. Been trying the weedless Neko with wacky rigged senkos and so far outstanding hook-ups with them.
  20. In-line spinners
  21. 16 pound Sniper FC and 40 pound Gliss
  22. As an alternative try a small bit of tubing over the bend
  23. In a one hour span a senko has been more productive for me than any other lure I have ever thrown.
