  1. I would tell u varivas 5lb braid but if you think 4# xl is thin varivas would be invisible to you.
  2. Never bother with it
  3. 7'6" stcroix legend elite m/f 7'10" stcroix victory mlxf 8' stcroix avid mlm
  4. 100% of pros misuse action for power. Like hey I'm KVD you need this 7' mh action rod with xf tip for all your reaction style presentations.
  5. Got the weight on the 3.5 and 4.2
  6. No way is 3/8 top end on this rod.
  7. I'm sure Im 1 of very few not blown away by NRX. It's very sensitive just not like what was expecting. I bought this rod for fat ikas but the rod doesn't load well at all with their weight right around 3/8th so pretty disappointed. Now with the heavier tanukis they load the tip better for better casting. I don't throw jigs at all so no input there. Another use is 1/4 Swimbait Head with 3.8" paddletails works great with those. It's not a great rod for one handed casting either.
  8. I have nrx893 for 3.5" and 4.25" yamatanukis launches them. Oh line is 14# fireline as of now.
  9. Gray based lens and 8-9 light transfer.
  10. Coworker bought an XUL Diawa Presso AGS it's real nice. Have seen ratings of SUL and XXUL Here a quick read https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ultralightanglers.com/what-are-xul-and-sul-ratings-on-ultralight-rods/amp/
  11. Bought 2 used mint Poison Adrenas both looked new no blemishes great price
  12. 200feet easily nrx 893 rod. t3 reel. 30#braid 1/2 sinker
  13. I have a number of lightweight rods okuma helios m/f 3.3oz and mh/f 3.5oz they balance real well with a 5.5oz reel. My favorite rod Quantum Smoke 7' m/f 3.4oz balances even a little better with same 5.5oz reel. Once u get to this weight it's difficult to be tip heavy just not much weight out front. So I want lightest rod possible. Light balanced is better than heavier balanced.
  14. Cant say when the last wind knot i had been years and years though. I use light braid and nanofil only. To me its operator issue not a braid issue.
  15. So what that tells me is diawa equals expendable but shimanos are prized heirlooms Yep had a t3 collecting dust but per your influences ordered a roroX spool now it's getting use as bfs setup 👍
  16. Do you generally find Daiwa’s reels to be of inferior craftsmanship when compared to Shimano? Indubitably
  17. Yeah Avid line has been downgraded but upped in price no longer deserve the name recognition
  18. Not really any rod reel out there but I'd get with yamamoto and try to get this discontinued fat ika/palm tree remade
  19. I just tried and while at the bottom of page click next and it takes me to top of next page.
  20. 2008 bought an Avid 8' ml mod spinning it's been a great rod. I did get the 7'10" Victory but still like the Avid more. During StCroix sale bough a 7'6" Legend Elite MF($125) just don't use it much.
