  1. 10# is plenty dont go higher 832 will hold a knot to 14 pounds.
  2. I have 10# pps8s on Daiwa sv105 and Shimano 50mg7. I use these for 1\20-1\16 ned rigs and pond magic spinnerbaits small paddle tails and up to senkos.
  3. If its like this a topwater frog pick a brand (spro, booyah, keitech, scumfrog) or I like to drag a Fat Ika or wacky rigged senko on top to open spots then let it fall. If you reel too quickly with frog you might get a lot of missed strikes so go slower with a few hops to get some water movement is a thing to try.
  4. I feel all tournament entries should go barbless. They should be the leaders for fish welfare/management.
  5. No one is saying the palomar knot is bad just the Fish-n-Fool knot is better as in stronger holding.
  6. Fish-n-Fool better than palomar for sure.
  7. Casting Chronarch CI4 with Quantum Smoke 7' M/F rod. Spinning Supreme XT with Legend Elite 7'6" M/F rod No trailer Actual weight is around 11/32 or .344oz
  8. Got my first Quantum bc reel from the 50% off sale.
  9. Well Id say it is what you want it to be. Mat fishing wacky rigs is what I prefer over using a frog.
  10. Best I have tried is the Trokar tungsten finesse ned head. Sharpest out there and on sale at Cabelas. The Berkley half heads are very nice as previously mentioned.
  11. I posted in the other thread about the Quantum checkout page not being secure, well it is now. My Kaspersky A/V has a secure browser feature as well so turned than on just in case. But anyhoo a 6.1 Tour S3 PT righty is on its way to me.
  12. No issues using braid on my moderate rods with cranks, no leader either.
  13. Well I think everything is overpriced. Im trying to think what I have bought for full price and coming up empty. I always wait for a sale at TW or another site or other random places. So at general sale price of say 20% off these are my picks Braid except for Smackdown thats overpriced even at 20% off. Nanofil- just purchased 1500yds @ 33% off Senkos Fat Ikas Strike King Rocket Shads $60-$100 Daiwa spinning reels The 1st gen Quantum Smoke rods specifically the 7' Medium Fast casting.
  14. Spinning reel its Nanofil for me. Great distance very manageable and no stretch. I use a knot that works great with it, no leader unless in-line spinner fishing.
  15. Get a $100 daiwa dont waste money on a $150-$200 spinning reel you wont gain much of anything but lighter wallet.
  16. Ned rig doenst produce for me anywhere near the level its hyped-up to be.
  17. I use 6' to 8' fast to moderate spinning or casting whatever I have on the outing. Dont think it matters too much. My favorite spinning rod is 8' ML so it gets the most use with neds.
  18. On the Quantum site, page for entering credit card info is not secure.
  19. I dont have a favorite brand. My favorite rod is first gen Quantum Smoke. The most rods I own from one brand goes to St Croix. The brand I like the least, Kistler.
  20. It cant cause the prestigious names are in another league. Now they only have the 2nd tier unit competing.
  21. The only FC I use is Sniper I have 10 12 and 16 pound go with the 16# for the uses you mentioned.
  22. I use 10 to 60 on baitcaster
  23. The best use for mono is as backing for the better lines, braid & FC
