  1. Here some numbers for 1/2oz red eye shad by THE REEL TEST
  2. Interested but will wait for/hoping a 7'6" to 8' ML model in spinning. I have 8' ML moderate Avid that weighs 3.6oz bought 2008.
  3. I sent it in and they sent me back a Smoke S3 took less than a week. Not sure why they didnt give me a Tour S3 for replacement. Havent tried it out yet hoping it doesnt make the same noise.
  4. That weight sounds more like the 2.8" Rhythm wave at least the ones I weighed. JACKALL RHYTHM WAVE 2.8" 2.513g 0.09965oz JACKALL RHYTHM WAVE 3.8" 6.772g 0.23887oz
  5. Not even close for me. Its much less likely that I get a strike on the initial fall. Predominance of my catches are on the retrieve. Doesnt matter the reel/set-up used.
  6. Id say right in the middle between 6'6" and 7'6"
  7. Shimano for casting Daiwa for spinning
  8. Spinning Avid 8' ML/Mod rod 4-8 pound Nanofil line 2000 size Daiwa RG-AB reel
  9. You nailed it BaitFinesse. Ive had $50 rods built better than the overpriced poor craftmanship crooked guides on Kistler H3. And you seem like a fanboy with his feeling hurt cause not every person is as enamored over an overpriced product.
  10. Durability for me has been excellent. Even if a fin starts to tear mend-it fixes it right up. Quality a bit suspect. First one had very dull hook that I had to sharpen. Then 2 others I have wont run true they pull to my right during retrieve. They catch fish top to bottom and during the fall/decent. I slow fish bottom at 20fow mostly a steady retrieve not bounce or hop and produces quite well. I have all sizes use 1/2 the most.
  11. Ill take micros on all future rod purchases if given the choice.
  12. Keitech Swing Impact Fats deserved all the hype they get, the senko of paddle tails.
  13. Kistler helium 3 lmh was a very regrettable rod choice. Quantum Tour S3, Daiwa SV105 and tatula sv regrettable reel choices.
  14. Paying for or using higher-end gear doesnt mean a person will like it any more than gear that costs less. I have NRX, GLX, Croix Elite, LTB, Fenwick World Class, Helium3 all $300+ rods. Not one of those is a favorite of mine. My Quantum Smoke gen 1 is my favorite rod it cost me $100 I use it more than any other rod I have. Ive tried and tried to find a rod I like better but havent found one. All those $300+ rods came after I purchased the Smoke but its the one I come back to. If I were to enter a tx it would be in my hand over the others.
  15. No such thing as just news, none, they all are biased.
  16. I like them a lot. Used with my 8' ML mod Avid spinning rod 8#nanofil a 3/8oz RS slings quite far. Use 1/2oz with casting.
  17. This "improved uni knot" is close to what I use with Nanofil and Gliss. The only difference is I go through the eye twice not just once.
  18. 4 to 8 pound test Nanofil (more sensitive than braid) on spinning and 10 pound pps8s braid on casting for ned rig use, oh no leaders.
  19. Curado70 outperforms the Core 50 easily. Better cranking power better braking system better casting overall. The best thing about the Core was its light weight at that time but you paid for it.
  20. Will depend on the brand. Oakley mirrored usually blocks 1% more light vs non- mirrored with same base lens. The polarization is not done by the mirror coating so wont make a difference.
  21. Great place to shop with great values too, use that 40% off coupon. Haters gonna hate.
  22. Here is how mine sounds on a cast
  23. try these hooks and gulp minnows, gills love them
  24. Ive had 16# sniper on a tat sv for 2 years straight no conditioner no issues.
