  1. Mine has been on for years.
  2. I never would have thought to remove a site from compatability setting to make it work. I did and it does. That is counter to logic.
  3. Since the site was redesigned, I cannot use IE to navigate it anymore. Everything is there, just scrambled. I switched to chrome and it works just fine. I tried translating with Bing in IE, but that will not work either. Compatabilty setting is set, but nada. Any ideas on what I have to do to use the site with IE?
  4. My inventory is Shimano, but out of curiousity I picked up a ProQualifier on sale two years ago, spooled it with 50lb braid and use it for frog fishing. I must admit it is a husky little reel and works very well for froggin'. it certainly is an inexpensive experiment.
  5. I frog fished with BPS Excel 20lb mono for years over heavy grass with no problems. Short casts and I just did not cast it 90 miles away.
  6. Anyone know if BPS will have the new Curado 70 in stock when they launch their classic sale on Feb 12? My store ain't talking.
  7. The magnet feature has been added on some reels to fine tune casting various lures.
  8. Don't overlook BPS Flouro. I buy it on sale every year and have been using it for 10 years now. Their 14lb is .013 " diameter, which is smaller than most brands. I read somewhere that Sunline makes their flouro and someone here may know for sure. I have reels where it has been on for two years and works fine. I find it to be really limp and strong.
  9. It is the Chronarch C I(i) 14+
  10. USE SWIVELS ON Carolina rigs Fluke rigs In line spinners (If line twist occurs) USE SNAP SWIVELS OR SWIVELS ON Standard Spoons Mepps Syclops
  11. I have simplified my rods to medium heavy fast tip for plastics, jigs and frogs and medium fast tips for spinnerbaits and cranks and a moderate tip for top waters.
  12. You are going to get a zillion answers. I now have six BPS Carbonlite 7' Medium spinning rods (3.9oz) and could not be happier. They are inexpensive and really. really light. My primary style of bass fishing with plastics is Carbonlite baitcasters because they are so light. Been using them for 5 years now and no problems.
  13. I believe the Curado 70 replaces the Curado 50E, which became the Chronarch 50E.
  14. Yes. buy the can that says for plastic, wood and metal.
  15. BPS will mark down the Carbonlites for their spring sales and may offer deals on shipping.as they are doing right now if your bill is over $75.
  16. This a husky reel in its build and great for large, heavy baits.
  17. I Caroline Rig with a BPS Carbonlite 7' MH with no problem. The Carbonlites will be marked down for the BPS spring classic sale. Love those rods. If you have any old rod, no matter how cheap, you can trade it in on a Carbonlite and get some cash towards the Carbonlite during the spring classic I am up to eight Carbonlites and never had a problem with them..
  18. About 5-6 years ago BPS offered a VanDam 7' spinnerbait rod with full cork handle and he really does know what he is doing, if he in fact he had a hand in designing the rod, because it is one incredible spinnerbait rod and as I recall was only $100. It is just really a joy with which to cast all day.
  19. I am Shimano fan, but three years ago I picked up a PQ on sale out of curiosity and it is now my frogging reel. Amazingly well built little reel and easy to strip down and clean.
  20. I only fun fish and remove the split rings to use #2, 20lb rated Duolock snaps on crank baits. It is really easy to quickly change baits. Never a problem, even on a big straying cat fish.
  21. Give BPS Flouro a try. I have been using it on my baitcasters on the Potomac for 10 years and find it great line in 12, 14 and 17#. Buy it on sale each year. Never a failure.
  22. Shimano for build and future parts needs, which may come up, although I have not needed to replace anything in my 10 year old Curados, nor any of the newer models.
  23. My three Curado 100B's are still going strong. Smooth as the day I bought them.
  24. It is interesting that the rod has identical specs as the white BPS Carbonlites I have, i.e., stainless guides and inserts and IM 8 and the BPS 6'6" MH fast baitcasters are $100 and 7' are $110 regular price (I always buy on sale though). The BPS regular guides 7' rods weigh 4.0 to 4.3oz and this 6'10" rod weighs 4.2oz. The rod bend under load is also identical to the BPS 7' MH Carbonlite. Who knows, they may have come from the same facility in China.
