  1. Too much oil on the AR bearing usually results to the extra reverse turn, flush the bearing and add two drops of thick reel oil like the one supplied by the manufacturer) to four drops of light reel oil like corrosion X) . Also check if nut the hold down the handle on the main shaft is loose, it needs to be real tight to avoid that extra slip page.
  2. You can order a core drag star for $33.00 from shimano..
  3. try a couple of drop of reel oil on the spool bearings, this will slow down the spool speed. Also lightly oil the brake pins.
  4. you put in braid as backing to prevent from getting spooled.
  5. What rod are you going to pair with Lin 10?
  6. What's better than a Megabass Lin 10. Two Megabass Lin 10. Congrats!
  7. True that! Althought I still try to keep my reel and rod combo under 12 Oz.
  8. One of the best qualities of a high-end rod is it's being well balance aside from being light and sensitive. I love using a well balance rod!
  9. What Q&W said. You should not be worried about the notch, the 50e is pretty much comfy in the palm.
  10. I used to have that rotator cup issue four years ago. It was due to tip heavy rods and heavy setup like a Revo Inshore on a Heavy 7' Berkley Shock rod. Now I was able to recover by using a well balanced light weight setup like core 100 on 6'6" Heavy Phenix UMBX. Total weight is only 9.8 Oz. Now most of my set up are below 12oz.
  11. Learn how to cast on your left. That's what I do when I use my lefty casting reel. I actually developed a bad shoulder after using it for a couple of months until I learn how to cast with my left arm. I only use my lefty baitcaster for drop shooting.
  12. What DH said ! You can use Magic Eraser to clean the cork handle before applying U-40 if the cork has stain on it. U-40 is a one time application unless you sand it lightly and re-apply it.
  13. With 843C I would go with Conquest 100. I pair mine with 783C GLX and another one with 6'6" H Phenix UMBX. For the size 50XT I pair it with 6'3 H Cumara reaction for topwater. Conquest 100 on MBR 783 GLX conquest 100 on Phenix UMBX 6'6H Calcutta 50XT on Cumara Reaction 63H
  14. Shimano is replacing the current cumara with a new version so it's a good time to jump on the deal. Just like what they did with clarus line and crucial they would still honor the warranty on the old clarus and replace them with the new version.
  15. I don't think they would have the same model in each class. Sample is the rod length of 6'3" is in the reaction series but not in standard cumara. Another difference is the hook keeper placement, the reaction is in the blank like other standard wire hook keeper while the plain cumara has a hole in the bottom of the rear grip.
  16. Cumara reaction 6'3" Heavy Fast Action. I paired it with Calcutta 50XT and another setup with Curado 50E.
  17. I have less overruns using braid compared to mono or FC line.
  18. I think customer support has to do a lot aside from the quality of the product.
  19. I use a CRC brake cleaner w/ bearing blaster to blast out those gunk. Should look like this when preparing. Can be used with the shielded bearings but works better when the shields are removed
  20. G Loomis MBR783C GLX/Conquest 100/PP S8S 20#
  21. I prefer 20# braid or up on baitcaster, anything less usually leads to: 1. Line digging in 2. bird's nest which is caused by line digging in. 3. losing expensive lures due to snaps or line breaking during the cast due to bird's nest which started from line digging in.
  22. This, but just take it off instead of cutting. So I can reuse it somewhere else
