  1. This. I love my KLX Feel n Reel for moving baits.
  2. Theres more pictures on the regular reel not the flipping reel. all the pics I look at screams Casitas (or Casitas Rip Off) I figured it may have been a deal with Shimano and Enigma since Aaron Martens is a die hard Shimano guy and has ownership on Enigma.
  3. Instagram photos make it look identical to the Casitas.
  4. I keep seeing an advertisement in my Instagram regarding Enigma's new reel line. I finally went to the website to check them out. They are either outsourced to Shimano or ripping Shimano off on the looks department. Anyone have any info on these reel? Just kinda curious not really important. https://www.enigmafishing.com/collections/reels
  5. How do people even stumble onto these old threads?
  6. If we use UCF's way of thinking then they lost to LSU who lost to the Gators which destroyed Michigan. Therefore the Florida Gators are National Champs!
  7. gotta get the beads ready
  8. NW Ohio (I'm on the boarder of Michigan) we have are first accumulation of snow today a whooping 1/8". Temps been in the 40s and 50s with night lows in the upper 30s. Still have thawed waters I was fishing Saturday. A cold font came in last night and knocked temps to 30s and lows in the upper teens and lows 20s for the next few days then back up into the 40s and 50s by next week's end. I'm loving this mild winter so far.
  9. In Ohio Tilapia is the most common white fish served in restaurants and sold at stores. Usually when I see signage advertising "White Fish" it is Tilapia or a mixture of Tilapia and Cod. Super cheap to buy and eat to.
  10. Patriot Outdoors. They can do jerseys for $55 and can also do shorts, tees, bibs, rain jackets, etc. Anything you could ever want they can do and do it inexpensively.
  11. You know you can custom make a H3 through Kistler's website. I have a custom Z-Bone.
  12. When I co I always offer $60 whether we were on the trolling motor all day or spot hopping. Believe it or not I had a boater once expect me to pay half of EVERYTHING. Literally wanted me to pay half of his hotel room half of his gas in his vehicle driving from his house and back and half of the gas used in the boat. His thinking was that normally he and his co share a hotel room and since I was more local and didn't need a hotel I still needed to pay half of his room. Also he had the mentality that if it wasn't for him I wouldn't be able to fish so I should cover half the gas in his vehicle since he drove 7 hours to fish the event.
  13. 98% of all the soft plastics I use are Grande Bass. I branch out and use Yamamoto Senkos, Zoom Fluke, a few Jackall soft plastics and something I pick up her and there throughout the year; but other than that it is fully Grande Bass.
  14. @GReb summed it up nicely I use my H3 for anything I need sensitivity for and my KLX where sensitivity is less of an issue and a slower action is need. With that being said I actually use a 7'3" Magnesium 2 for jigs but have contemplated getting another H3 and using the Mag 2 for something else.
  15. I have not fished any ALX rods but I have heard great thing about them. When I started fishing rods $200 and up about 2 years ago I tried a KLX and fell in love with it. From then on out I have been a big fan of Kistler. I love my Helium 3 for any type of presentation that requires the most sensitivity. The extra fast action is great to drive a single hook and keep it pinned.
  16. Original airings will be on Discovery channel and reruns on Sportsman Channel and CBS Sports channels.
  17. Its a new series that now competes with BASS and FLW. Look up the Bass Pro Tour. MLF has now taken all the top talent (except Scott Martin) from both series and started a new Tour this year. They will still have the old MLF Cups as usual.
  18. I am on the other side of a spectrum I love all the colors out there. Maybe its because I came from a paintball background where the popular thing was to get the most and brightest colors possible on your guns. But honestly I would have never tried a ***, Phenom Ti, Magnesium 2, or E6X without all the bight colors. Back when my budget was a little lower it was the white blanks that got me to buy my Veritas and Ghost rods.
  19. I have found the best way to search the forum is through Google. Just type in the topic and the bassresource at the end and bam you'll find topics related to your search from 15 years ago. Back on topic. My biggest gripe and is defiantly a first world problem was the CI4+ was too light. I could never find a rod in my price range that would balance with it. I have now bought a Helium 3 and also a E6X that balance pretty well with it. I had the Ballistic LT for a short while and thought it was "OK" I felt like it was missing something for a reel at that price point. I ended up selling to a friend who used it and fell in love with it. I know have a total 4 CI4+ and 3 of the new Okuma Helios SX reels which are truly underrated and at a cheaper price point.
  20. I use the poorly updated spreadsheet for when I am in my house doing something and don't wanna go look in my garage. When on the water or in the garage I color code my line Fluoro is "Crystal Clear" color and Mono is "Moss Green". I only use 10# Mono, 12# Fluoro and 17# Fluoro so I can tell by feel what Fluoro is what. Braid is obvious. Oh and on my spinning reels they are all tied with 8# mono so I don't have to worry their either. Good Luck in how you decide to organize.
  21. Its funny you say this because I was going to say two of my favorite places to fish for smallies is Torch Lake and Elk Lake. But I think that has more to do with how clear the water is vs quality of fish.
  22. KastKing, how is Kastking not mentioned yet? Royale Legend Elite is what you need.
  23. I use a 6'9" Hvy Frog Specific rod. Denali Rosewood to be exact.
  24. I grew up in inner city Toledo (300k population) and yes we ran everything through the internet. Two years ago we moved to rural area (21 houses, 63 people) in my “town” and every house has satelittes running everywhere. When I call to try to get better internet I am told that due to the amoumt of dense woods I’m the area nobody can run lines and the trees block cell reception. It’s not as bad as when I go visit family in the heart of the Smokies but it’s still “primitive” by today standards. We to are about 20 minutes from gas and an hour from any type of mainstream store.
