Nice...i will be looking for you on the water...should not be hard with that color! I should probably be looking for YOU since I've never really fished the bigger lakes of central IL. Clinton, Decatur, Springfield haven't spent anytime on them in the past. I'm very much looking forward to getting that baby home soon!

Another vote for FroggToggs....affordable and will keep you bone dry. It's not "warm" gear however, so get it big enough to layer clothes underneath. I own both the firebelly and toadrage jackets and I'm happy with them both.

If you don't mind I'd really like to see pics of the floor, I have a fish hunter and have considered building a floor to enable standing a few times....your pictures might inspire me to actually do it

Glad to see other Bloomington guys got out fishing! I've been waiting for it to get warm enough over the last couple weeks, I checked a couple places last weekend and it was still pretty icy. Nice fish and good luck

Part of the VLC app is the ability to load files in iTunes using the file sharing feature in iTunes. I assure you it works and eliminates the annoyance of conversion of files to .mp4 which is a pain in the ***. That is exactly what I'm saying....install VLC and you can play any format without the need to convert to mp4. Even if you have the conversion process down, I suggest you give VLC a shot anyhow. I stopped converting files that I had ripped in previous formats when I found VLC and it made my use of apple products much more enjoyable.

Install VLC and stop worrying about converting the files...VLC will play anything.

I really only play the Wii during the winter, and even then not much...I was hoping a good fishing game would allow me to get some use out of it and help keep the cabin fever at bay. I wish i could move to a more fishing friendly climate at times, but I'm stuck in the north due to my work.

The title says it all. I'm considering buying a fishing game for the Wii to get me through the winter, and I would like input on which one is best from real fisherman, not kids who only play video games and have no idea how to fish. I'm considering two titles currently: Rapala Pro Bash Fishing 2010 Hooked! Again Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I've decided I'd like to try a micro guide rod. This will be primarily used to fish medium sized plastics. I was targeting a medium power fast action 6' 6" casting rod. Who offers the best sub $200 micro guide rod that fits my needs? Spending less is OK with me since I've never used one before and I'm not 100% sure I'll like it.

LOL - So the list on the G Loomis stuff is about what I wanted to spend on the whole package. I've never fished a G Loomis rod... Question being is it that good. Good question...I recently bought a used (but in new condition) MBR843GLX for $250 as my primary plastic presentation rod. I also owned St Croix Avid, Premier, and Mojo rods along with BPS rods. While the Loomis is definitely an upgrade over the Premier, Mojo, and BPS rods....I don't see a huge gap between it and the Avid for this application. I've only fished it 3 times so far, so maybe over time I'll see a bigger difference.

I own both a mojo bass and an Avid.....clear advantage to the Avid for sensitivity, but you are then back to the same question...do you want multiple poles or one good setup? From your earlier reply on how you fish (and the fact that you already have multiple setups) I would suggest buying one "nice" setup. You are going to upgrade eventually (I promise) and the less poles to upgrade the lower overall cost long term.

What kind of fishing do you do? Are you a boat fisherman where multiple poles with multiple lures can come in very handy, or do you primarily bank fish where you carry a single pole? Do you fish several different lakes/rivers with different structure driving the need for heavier or lighter poles? These questions are the primary drivers in the number of poles you need/want.
