I have fished them on what I believe are walleye rigs.
essentially a inline spinner that bottoms out on a single hook. I replace that hook with a EWG and texas rig a senko at night. Usually a swim senko for even more attention.
Water levels have been up at my usual lakesso of course they are a bit scattered on the shoreline cover with deep water close. If that is still the case when you read this, start shallow and try several spots with laydowns close to deep water. No bites, circle back and move to that deeper water. I will fish a t-rig worm all the way with this especially with the abundance of wood nearby.
Fishing these points parallel on the drop off has been productive.
x2
I know there are a lot of megastrike fans here, and I use it from time to time. Just seems like all fish will hold on to powerbait longer than any other, and i dont want to screw that up. Others with scent such as yum and rage products, I do add it it to.
I got a daughter, and I am also a really young father when you look at the age of my daughter...so trust me, I think I have said and done most things out there...but really some things you can walk away from, and some things you can only crawl from. Would have to hear what you did to find out which you will be able to do.
If on a vacation fishing trip, almost always music: sometimes the fish want to party too!
On a typical day, do not really want to hear much else but fishing/nature sounds.
What lake are you fishing?
I would rig a drop shot but if you have not used a c-rig all that much no need to toss somthing tourney time when you have other options. I you have confidence in a t-rig, then throw that, if you want too peg the weight up the line you can do that and have what a c-rig is. I say rig a drop shot it does shine when bite is tough, and great when the fish are biting.
If need long cast chasing shad, up to an ounce over deep open water, if I need to look like a bream, more of a standard jig color than the white used for shad imitation.
I have found almost any trailer works...but now I will cut down a RT anaconda however, great idea and thanks.
Please GMAN, dont make all your jigs with trokar, your prices are too fair for that!!!
Any how, as others have said, never had an issue setting the hook with other brands jigs or worm hooks- although, i think if they (Trokar) made a twist lock for froggin I may try them out.
Ha...funny, in that slight way...just think if you rounded the bend and this dude was there! Real life I think it just may be the funniest thing i would ever watch.
Caught a tree bass about ten feet up. Yanked hard instead of trolling over to get it out, dead branch that came out with it left a good welt. More embarresing than painful, especially when i saw three other boats watching.
