  1. I would just buy a trout stamp- and then throw a large trout swimbait. Warden should have no problem with that. It is just to keep people honest, which as we know is tough out there nowadays.... I think I have seen too many political commericals... On the bright side, catch a couple trout and introduce them to lemon, butter, and dill.
  2. Thanks for the advise, I may be doing a scramble here in a few weeks. here at school. I hear my putting game is pretty darn good, but we'll see. Anyone selling a set of Nike Slingshot's? I've been borrowing them for a few days and love them, but need to get myself a set. My advice...is get out now while you are ahead. Used to play alot, then realized that fishing was much more fun, tourney or not. i do have a set of slingshots I may not lose sleep over.
  3. I miss Cedar and all the others down there. Lived there for a long while. On the bright side, I do get to fish Clinton whenever i want to now.
  4. Colts pitt NE Honestly, if it goes to who can win a game at any moment. It is the Colts. Pitt and NE are better on paper, but I am not sure they would win 51% of the times against the Colts. Just wish my bears looked better. The cowboys are not good on the field- therefore not a good team
  5. Stay away from Evergreen then as well...it is dead as dead. Clinton has been pretty hot, Dawson okay if you like small fish.
  6. Most of the better fish there are suspended, and have only been finding them on electronics. Got most to bite on cranks and jigs actually. They ar shallow in the morning, evening- but most seem to move out and suspend over a channel edge throughout most of the day. Especially with the blue bird days we have been having here. The rain this weekend should do some good.
  7. The Revo is the best reel i have tossed. It is also my most expensive- but I usually do not equate price to quality- it just happens to fit.
  8. Great video. Wish i did not get on here at night, knowing full well that I can not go fishing this evening,...couple months ago sure; i need to move south. Anyhow, I just bought a new suit- wish clients were like fish and did not care what my gear looked like. My fav combos are all older and still up on my front deck. The newbies seem to squirm into the rod locker.
  9. After reading this, I really have a taste for fish now. Now I will have to go meat fishing. Usually only keep two smaller 15" bass if I have to. Luckily our lakes have plenty of crappie and white bass, and I would rather take a couple of those than LM's. I guess instead of trailering my boat to the lake I could pick up some talapia from the store.... Nevermind, I am out of here and heading to the lake.
  10. Boats dont have brakes, and neither does a 220# guy running a 4.5 40 These hits are bound to happen. Except for the hit on Heap. If you you all can remember the hit put on some guy by Warren Sapp after in interception a few years back, that should be a suspension. A guy going in to break up a play is part of the game.
  11. I would say the typing is fine, the area he is fishing may need to change however. Find big bass areas, you may be where the dinks are at the time of day you are fishing.
  12. I have an 04 and it works great for everything. Tank size and mileage no issues.
  13. I have no problem frying up a some short fish- specific lakes do need this in their mgmt. however it does not get done. I a few private lakes I fish, we will keep 10 inch fish like crappie for an outing or two just to keep them in check- I really don't ever want to keep a keeper, but you show me a legal short fish and I will show it the grease. I only wish some of our public waters had a slot and a defined timeframe for it to take place.
  14. What lake did you all get to fish- just curious since I live in the area.
  15. keel weighted space monkey. I can work it as a top water early in the morning, and also used it to probe then and later in the day. Works as a frog and a craw. No line twist which is my pitfall with t-rigged craws. Worked pretty well as a skipping bait as well.
  16. I currently use a Sebile soft magic swimmer in the bluegill pattern- you can do many things with it, and can fish it weedless at that. I am looking to bump up though and try a couple matt lures- after reading this thread it really is a sick looking bait. If you are in decent cover- go with a sebile soft swimmer.
  17. Funny because I find that is the one way to run a business WITH OUT forming a pyramid scheme. More on that if you want but lets look at a few things first. Just to clarify a pyramid scheme is a business set up so that all the money funnels up to the people at the top. The people at the bottom are payed the minimum to keep them working with the promise of more money at a later date which they never received. And as for the Snake oil part. If you can name one industry which does not have its fair share rip off products then you need to look around. Lets use the Banjo minnows as an example. Real fishermen know they are not the magic bullets they are promised to be. The Banjo minnows are really just soft plastic jerk baits, so just because they are ripoffs does that mean all soft plastic baits are ripoffs? And please let us remember that MLM is not a product. It is a system of distributing and marketing products. This system can be used by any company even if their products are snake oil. So your blaming the system that the products are bad? Then why don't we blame TV marketing for Banjo minnows being over price crap and not that it is the way they are made which makes them crap. fourbizz and nice_bass Could you please tell me where your coming from. Have you guys bought products from a MLM company or actually be involved in one? Sorry, my mistake. Should have noted that I was being the proverbial tongue in cheek. If I did not hate the similes maybe I would have put some kind of face on there. Really, I was more stating that what you may be doing is okay and not DB'ry. If you are out there working , there can be nothing wrong with it, and I actually like your cross comparisons. Heck, I am sales as well, albeit a different brand.
  18. Not sure about the DB's, but i can see the snake oil as valid claim. Anyhow- maybe you could teach him about all your glorious wonders of blogging- that would teach him.
  19. Break DD's from Illinois waters- win bass club pts. standings, and fish more with my daughter as she grows. (3yrs old)
  20. This would be my business. You may be underwater, however you should be able to do a streamline FHA with no appraisal. Your figure will be based on your original purchase price. PM me with a few more details and I could contact some people in your area. FHA guides have changed in the past two weeks though- What this means to you is that they reduced the up front mortgage insurance premium (most likely rolled into your loan amount when you bought) and they increased your monthly rate. Therefore on a 150k mtg if you could refinance down to 4.125% 30yr and save $50 a month- your monthly MI rate will also increase by about $50 leaving little benefit in refinancing. Anyhow- sounds like you have done some leg work on this, but usually there is a way around getting it done. Good luck.
  21. I actually like them. I have just been digging them in sand so no real snag threat. So far so good. Hook up ratio is nice, cant say it is much different than a regular treble, but it beats trying to get my finger nail into a ring to take it off and replace!
  22. Lake of the Ozarks. Old party cove. boy scout point
  23. just pull the trolling moter up....happens to me all the time.
  24. They really wont be all that accurate- the maps will be on different map projections-which is essentially the different ways of turning a 3d world onto a 2d map. When these two are not the same, mathematically they will not match the gps coordinates. The bottom of your map should tell you what it is on, and you can find out what google used- but without a GIS platform you would not be able to get the two synced. Long story short, bring maps and use separately and get the idea of whats down there in a given area, but don't rely on the coordinates matched with the contours.
  25. Part of your credit rating does not whatsoever come from a debt to income ratio. However, when you decided to buy a new house or other major purchase debt to income will play a factor. Cosigning should have little effect on a good (740+) credit score, so long as cosigned debts are paid for. You will be helping your step daughter establish her own credit, while providing her an education. A risk yes, but a risk i would take for my daughter or step daughter, never mind what a grump like cart has to say.
