  1. Me- i think people relate themselves to different animal a bit too much. A fish can take a flop or two and be just fine- it is US humans that are much more fragile than the rest of species. It may hurt us or our feelings if that was done to us, but not the fish. So long as the fish is not out of the water too long, has recovered from the fight, than getting tossed in is the best ride of its life. If a fish needs its picture taken with two hands, thats how it is released- if it requires just one, it is dropped into the drink from standing up. Come to think of it, it is usually done with a somersault action as well performing 180 degree flip head first into water.
  2. wish they sold them in 100ct
  3. We call them floaters in Chicago. Only rather than mobsters ours tend to be the homeless or suicides. Mobsters are the ones who run the state. touche
  4. I hate korn just as much as you do i see
  5. At least it is not Dave matthews band. i guess you have that going for you......
  6. I actually use a pistol grip casting rod in this size for working jigging spoons and other similar baits in and around deep docks. Easy to control in tight quarters.
  7. I wrestled grade school, high school, and college and I always was at most 4-7%. Most trainers would recommend nowhere near just 4% for health reasons. Looking strong and fit is much different than being strong and fit. When I see people that big I think they look like the most unathletic people in the world. I have seen heifers in Wally world that could run a 40 faster if they decided to get off the public use scooters. Not a chance I would ever want to look like that, nor could I. Big props for taking control of your life though- I am sure you are happier and healthier.... The other dude though- hope is acne does not get too bad... :-X
  8. I am just kidding anyhow- not a chance anyone should do much of anything past noon today around here.
  9. I am going to clinton lake today if you are up for it!
  10. Geez...i dont know about that. I have came to the scales with five in the bag and my tm and finders were down about an hour in. Granted i knew the lake but 2g's is a lot of money!
  11. Braid is only on my frog rod, and musky setups. No need for braid on everything.
  12. So maybe it was not taco bells fault for using so little beef...
  13. I am sure a lot of their reels are just fine- the two bc's I have had both had some major mechanical issues, so I tend to think as quantum as sub par now. In the price range stated as well, I believe there better performing reels albeit even if it were a perfectly tuned quantum, which i believe mine did start out as.
  14. personal prefrence i guess. But i have had many issues with anything quantum.
  15. well...i would have guessed an o2 sensor....but i am not a car guy by trade by any stretch. Glad to hear it is corrected.
  16. Love my keurig. Drink Kona coffee every morning now instead of some terrible auto drip i use to drink. Too lazy for a press.
  17. I believe NASCAR screwed up again by allowing another year of this to actually fill the airwaves. I use to love racing- in recent years it just turns my stomach.
  18. Not really sure why that would be necessary. Unless you plan on making 200yd casts the smaller reel would do just fine for 1-2oz swimbaits. To each his own. Toro is a better reel pound for pound after all 200 yards of what, 10# line? I use 25# CXX for swimbaits. As far as getting distance on any of the baits, that's about the rod. 50# Power pro and a mono leader. I agree with the Rod- that's why I am not sure why a larger spool reel would be needed as he was questioning distance in relation to the smaller sized spool---unless you use something as large a diameter as 25# mono/poly/fluro or whatever then you would be limited to casting distance purely based on the amount of line each can carry. For the 60-70 dollar difference, I would put towards rod or tackle. Again, each his own both are great reels.

  20. I have the same reel and cast the same size sb's with it. 8ft rod- and if i cast it as far as it could not sure i would be even able to set the hook. You will get plenty of distance.
  21. We have several decent powerplant lakes down here in central IL. Me personally am waiting untill at least several days straight of 35 degree weather to get back to them though.
  22. post front blue bird skys or pretty clean water
  23. Bed fishing. I love sight fishing in deep water- but somthing turns me off bed fishing in very shallow water for bedding bass. Only in desperate times will I do it. Although, One of my favorite strikes is when a I actually see a fish nail my bait-
