  1. What Wayne said...no reason for an hdi without the combo ducer.
  2. my ol' lady would disagree that it is disrespectful as well...
  3. I don't know how you guys fish tourneys from the back- to me that would be way too frustrating. props to ya.
  4. all my cranks are in regular trays stacked up on each other- no damage. Most of mine are still in grocer bags on the boat though as I tend to lose one and just open up a new package there on the spot- I don't keep them for all that long.
  5. Evergreen has some really big fish- but not much of them any longer. 900 acres and restricted to 9.9hp and usually crowded. if you can get down during the week it is not a bad place to be for a couple days. Bloomington is 10 minutes away, but I would most likely just camp..
  6. Pm me. I live 10 minutes away from it.
  7. USR files from NavPlanner2 onto SD. On the HDS insert the SD and go to pages-waypoints, routes and trails-SD disc-USR files-import "are you sure you want to import?" "yes" and then give it some time to upload- leave the sd card in there, grab a beer, drink beer, and another. Then go see if you can see your trails and they should be there again when you put your nav card back in. let me know if that works.
  8. I have a elite 7 at bow and hds5 at dash. The 7 is worth the money and will be the only way you can run three views, and much better for running two screens at once. Installation is easy...where are you installing and on what kind of boat- I have tin as well.
  9. anything good? I have not been out there this year yet.
  10. I wear a suit and tie 5 days a week and to charity functions at night...I have yet to wear the suit on the boat but have more than once hooked the boat up prior to changing out of my suit to go fishing! !more of a dig on raider. ...not collard shirts! I actually prefer to fish summer in old button up dress shirts, nice and breezy
  11. are you sure he fishes? 10 to 1 shows up in collared shirt.
  12. Caught a couple drum yesterday....at dawson. Figured I did not want to go to clinton with a 75 boat tourney there. Water was 47 surface but I imaging water still bitter a few feet down. Lots of suspended fish out in the basins but no bass caught. Need about a week of good weather and we should be in good shape.
  13. I think I own a couple of almost every major brand of reel some cheap some way too expensive. I will say for one thing, the quantum's I did have actually did suck. I kind of figured it was due to that years line/styling, bad batch, whatever you want to call it- but it was enough that now I buy and use everything but quantum. I am sure if I bought another it would be just fine, but I don't think I will ever find out. no real reason to.
  14. and lake of the Ozarks is my favorite lake!!! lol. usually stop fishing there after the 2nd or 3rd week of May and start again in September. I did go in july last year, and honestly it was not that bad- fished from before sunrise to around 10ish- and then again in the evening. Weekends whole different story though.
  15. Norman dd22 silent
  16. Fished dawson with 7 hdi and it is amazing. Like watching tv at the bow now. No interference or other issues with installation.
  17. More than a handful of fish kills. Water was 44 Sunday and I found plenty of bait although fishing was slow. Shad kills being reported pretty widespread. Small shallow lakes like Eureka larger fish kills. I would imagine spring lake and a few more could be hurt.
  18. thank you all that replied. I was also in the understanding that the two blade would work better for open water which is what I do the most anyhow so I opted for the two blade and we'll see how it goes
  19. what size is that? I think they are fairly small 4'' or so. I have used bigger swimshads and typically storm baits are really dense and best fished like a jig on bottom or swimming on bottom- which is where you should be fishing it anyhow...
  20. Hey all. Thoughts on this? I am going to order an extra as both mine are a bit beat up and one needs retired for good. Going to order a new one, and cannot decide between the two. I have always used MG machete III's however may get the ninja 2 blade. I typically fish deep open water in wind with a tin boat so I would like to give the 2 blade a chance, however am worried about noise and extra vibration. Not much of a weedy lake fisherman, but when I do i would have my old machete III to change to. Any good thoughts? 12v 55# MG
  21. Plenty of musky baits out there as well fashioned from bullhead
  22. I have to agree with the IL folks on this one. Vikings, Shamless, and Game of thrones.
  23. i know- my lack of fishing makes me a smart ass!!
