  1. A stump field does not offer much if it does not have a change in contour or bottom composition. Fish those high percentage areas.....and trim up before you put your tm down.
  2. I hope you dont pay your accountant much in that case...did not file an extension for you, came up with standard deductions, etc. Etc....
  3. I am a large dollar lender/banker and sit down with folks to review credit several times a day. Pm me if you want info on how to build, repair, maintain or increase scores by utilizing credit various ways and how it may be weighted in the algorithms.
  4. I am late to the party, but most likely going there friday and clinton saturday...and back to evergreen sunday night.
  5. Flip flops by reef. Mine have support, air pockets, and built in bottle opener.
  6. Not the best lake...head to rend, clinton, kincaid, devils kitchen, and a few others if you are in the area. Carlyle is a windy bowl
  7. I dump people out for not bringing me beer if I offer to take them out. My only real rule is give space to people. If they come to mine I dont leave, I saturate the area. If they jump ahead of me wayyyy too close. I jump them. If we get there at the same time, its all theirs.
  8. What kind of swimbait? single hook with a jig head or hard bait with a treble or two and what kind of treble? I actually think you could get away with that rod if you are using a bait with a treble or two unless you are using extremely heavy gauge trebles- which may not even be on a 3/4oz swimbait. Don't use it with a single hook/jig hook type bait.
  9. Hopkins shorty tied on year round.
  10. just not my year so far as I cannot seem to hardly even catch a bass over 3#'s. Lack of time on the water is the main issue but hoping that changes here real soon. Took me two days after two days of fishing in MO to figure out why my navionics East card was not reading properly... I need more time on the water.
  11. Wait now im confused....it is common in the private sector that we get paid to take clients drinking and vise versa. :-)
  12. Yes. I throw on a heavy rated to 1.5 though. A jig rod will work fine.
  13. I have caught a lot of musky. I have also caught a lot without a leader including a few big ones on accident. I could count the time I have been bitten off in all honesty.
  14. Being in banking/sales/100% comission I pretty much feel the opposite sometime. Constant phone ringing, email alerts, etc. The days I do get to fish without those distractions are however some of the best moments ever. Fishing without distractions are amazing. Also, smart phone are the bane of my existance seems like; always on call or someone else will be.... Happy to hear life on the right track for you now.
  15. birds eat bass when they are swimming, bass eat birds when they are swimming, but bass are not eating too many birds when they are flying nor are birds eating too many bass when they are flying! it was most likely fry or bait fish that scramble away due to a shadow overhead.
  16. I have ordered quite a few times in the past, I know I do have some dredge series but one quick question- do you not offer anything heavier than the 1/2oz or am I just not using the internet correctly? (I may just have the mata dredge brush now...) thanks!
  17. I have both. navionics is what I prefer- most insight does not have all that much detail and it works, just not how I need it to. I do have it on the bow of an elite 7
  18. Eutrophication and resulting hypoxia is very real and very easily documented- and non-point source pollution is the main culprit of this. Only look at the Mississippi delta area leads to more than enough data to prove it. The major sources are in fact agriculture as well as urban settings in creating issues on large bodies of water and whole watersheds. Smaller lakes may experience it through higher amounts of ecoli and similar results of nitrogen and phosphorus loading. While agriculture is largely to blame for the "source" of non-point source it is not solely to blame. Loss of riparian buffer zones has a large impact as well as urban runoff. Proper watershed mgmt. policy can help solve many of the issues however it is the Ag. industry that is also helping quite a bit. GIS technology etc., leads to proper application of chemicals and fertilizers which helps reduce waste, increase yields, and reduce a good portion of non point source pollution.
  19. slow year for me as well- although a late start has something to do with that. limited out on walleyes yesterday on a jerkbait. did not even luck into a bass.
  20. easy ,effective lure retriever and cheap. Comes in packs of 3. I may lose one for every 20 jigs I am able to retrieve.
  21. Dont be afraid to lose them/invest in pocket knockers. My biggest issue these days is a boat full of rods and lures and I pull out two jig rods first every time and everywhere.
  22. Since it is obvious to me what company you work for...please do the right thing... I will give it to you union guys there- you do seem to be awfully tight and supportive. I have a few friends and family over there and hear the same thing even after they retired.
  23. Researched everything except the rod storage... don't worry man...I am just joking as well...all is good- although my 2010 txw does handle 7'6'' rods no problem.
  24. Have him also get the transducer shield from the same website. Fairly cheap- maybe 20 bucks I think.
  25. Jigging spoon for stripers and flathead.
