RIVER_BASS

I have been doing realy good on the black river from dexter to fort drum the small mouth are hitting real good on the gulp minnow's they like the white and the white and black. i run the 3in and always get a hit.

I use to live in sweethome before i joined the army and got stationed in fort drum new york but both foster and green peter and good for small and large mout bass down by the dam on foster and over by the new boat dog i did good.

You might try some smaller live bait when there nesting and getting ready to lay eggs they will guard there area and almost strike anything that looks like a threat i have pulled some bass from 5-7 pounds out that way you just have to check for your area when they are breeding. good luck

Thats a bummer about Siltcoos i use to go down there all the time and bass fish when i was younger i havent got to fish back in oregon in about 6 years now thanks to 2 trips to iraq and the army moving me to fort drum new york lol. but cant wait to get back and fish.

hey yall i'm robert i'm out of fort drum thanks to the army but home is oregon lol. i love steelhead fishing and realy got into bass fishing since i have been at drum. I dont get to fish much between the army and firefighting but i try to as much as i can i like to hit the black river and the local lakes around the post. seems like there is a alot of good fishing spots.
