  1. Trokar 6 hooks, $7.00 Gammys 12 hooks $7.00 BPS 25 hooks $7.00 Close, but not to the penny. Guess I will stick with the Gammys and BPS hooks. A matter of mileage. Hootie
  2. Take a close look at the hook. They don't just have points, they have 3 sides, each corner sharpened to a razor edge, about 1/4" down all 3 corners. Hootie
  3. After using these hooks for all this season, I can say I wont be buying anymore. Don't get me wrong, these hooks are everything they are advertised as. To excess, In my opinion. Strong, super sharp, too super sharp. These hooks simply destroy my plastics. You can't keep the hook point in the worm. They simply slice through it. The will also sometimes slice through the bass mouth, I believe . causing me to lose fish. Otherwise, a great hook, just to much of a good thing. My 2 cents. Hootie
  4. Dick's Sporting Stuff...lol Hootie
  5. Yep, combos. Three rods and three reels. Hootie

  11. AGREED!! I could have written this word for word myself. I have the E's, the G's and the Chronarchs. Love em all, absolutely no complaints. I could not have said this when I first started this topic. Didn't have copies of all the reels. NOW I DO! Just because it's different, doesn't mean it's covered with mud!! Hootie
  12. THROW AWAY!! ??? Ha, ha, ha, hee, hee, hee, har, har, .....Whew!, .... Gotta catch my breath!! Hootie

  14. When I went to school, you had to learn, to graduate. By the time my kids were in school, you just had to show up, to graduate. I think, now, all you have to do to graduate is turn 18.....lol. As Bob Dylan sang, "The times, they are a changing". Hootie P.S. I know,..... who is Bob Dylan?
  15. Thank you, I was hoping that was the answer. Hootie
  16. Bought 2 of their $80.00 Speed Sticks a couple years ago. They are okay, a little heavy, but after using Dobyns Champion, and G Loomis rods, everything seems heavy...lol. Hootie
  17. Or anyone else who can answer this question. A couple years ago, I put those ridged rubber handle grips on 2 of my STX's. Today I took them off, and the paddles now have these ridges pressed into rubber. Will they come out over time, or are they there to stay. Hootie
  18. I had a really BAD experience with Lews. I bought one, and liked it SO MUCH, I bought 5 more....lol. Hootie
  19. That's more my range. I have been using Abrazx for the last few weeks. Bought 4 spools when BPS had a 25% off Seaguar products. Hootie
  20. No room in my wallet for $50.00 fishing line...lol. Hootie
  21. I still have a lot of my 1960's fishing tackle. Cheapie stuff for sure. I now fish with some of the best tackle made, and I would NOT want to go back. But I gotta tell ya, I sure had a LOT of fun back then with that cheapie stuff. Like they say, "ya gotta start somewhere to get somewhere". Hootie
  22. AHH!! The good ole' days. I had a Zebco 606 combo that did it all, and I had a great time every Saturday. Used it three seasons until I got my first Mitchell 300 in 1969. Hootie
  23. I have a large collection of old tackle, lures, baitcasting reels, rods, Steel, solid fiberglass, old books, old magazines, and old catalogs. I have posted photos of some of my collection on here but there don't seem to be a lot of interest in old tackle here. I guess it's a nostalgia thing. Either you like it or you don't. Hootie
